Shit. I almost died on earth one time because I forgot how to saliva. That guy's arguments are totally invalid.
Also, the earth isn't flat. It's obviously a hyperbolic paraboloid. Otherwise the water in the ocean would fall off into space. #Covfefe

I have never been super fascinated with the cosmos or the ocean depths...
I like to know how human emotions work though...
I wonder what that says about me.

Flat-Earther's "Experiment" Goes Viral, Just Not In The Way He'd Hoped | IFLScience
Video here if you want to lose a few brain cells:
YouTube conspiracy theorist D. Marble took a flight from North Carolina to Seattle in order to “monitor whether or not the pilot would dip the nose of the plane to compensate for curvature”.
He and some of his followers believe his video, below for your entertainment pleasure, proves that Earth is flat.
“I recorded a 23 minute and 45 seconds time-lapse, which by those measurements means the plane traveled a little over 203 miles," he explained in his video. "According to curvature math given to explain the globe model, this should have resulted in the compensation of 5 miles of curvature. As you'll see there was no measurable compensation for curvature."
"Understand that gravity is a still just a theory," he goes on to say. "No more defending what we know to be true! Now we take the fight to the enemy! #FEOffensive.”

Nah...just sipping some cha and probably later have some soup. Knowing my MiL, the wife will probably come home later with some pho when she picks up Little Cha.

Ha...actually, I would too. But, I honestly could use a sick day for some R&R....toughed it out pretty much most of the year already and I've been pretty much ragged the last few weeks.

Question: If the earth is flat, where does all the water in our oceans go? Wouldn't it just drain off the edge, into oblivion? People always saying we ain't got enough water... pfff... we're replenishing bajillions of gallons everyday to keep them full! Ain't nuttin' wrong wit drinkin' salt water either!

I'm guessing you guys don't know the answer to the mystery either. Perplexing.

So I almost inadvertently killed Wifey.
This morning, she comes back from the gym and she's like "the car is making funny sounds from the driver's front wheel."
Tacobello be like: "Ugh. WTF did she hit now? "
Tacobello has her drive the car slowly as he walks beside it and hears this ticka tick tick ticka tick tick coming from the front wheel.
Tacobello be like "Dafuq?"
So Tacobello parks the car and puts the jack under, lifts it just a wee bit and goes to undo the lugnuts... wtf... they're completely loose. Uh oh.
One was still on tight, the other four I was able to spin with my fingers.
Tacobello be like "Uh, sorry Wifey. I promise I wasn't trying to kill you"
Odd. I used the torque wrench, set to 90ftlbs, and all the lugs were tight on the other 3 wheels. This one wheel had 4 of them come loose. Never happened before. 90ftlbs is also a bit more torque than owner's manual stipulates.

Did you also see the part in the manual where it says to re-tighten after xx miles (xx*metric factor)?
Because you should have done that if you really cared for her.
Heartless bastard.

Actually (ackshullly...) it just occurred to me that any halfwit should be able to comprehend this:
A water drop in space, where earth also is, will take on the shape of a sphere (roughly (not like "aggressive pegging" rough, but like "approximate" rough)). So it should stand to reason that a planetary body that is mostly covered by water, would also do the same.
But admittedly, I've only thought about it for about 45 seconds.

And finally, this scares me.

the other day I get back from something in the S2000 and look at the wagon...i'm like, that's odd...some of the lug nuts look visibly like they aren't all the way down...
uh...3 of 5 aren't...they're like, fully loose...whoah...don't know if I spaced out before hitting with the torque wrench or someone tried to steal my wheels...
either way, sure glad I figured that out before going 1XX mph on US27

It's 25 miles for Americans but accounting for CAD conversion, humidity and temperature , probably 3450 kilometers?
Someone check my math though

i lost a 100 dollar lug nut key that way.....

That's why I always slightly over torque them. Never had them come loose on me in the past. If I torqued them to the manufacturer specs then I would for sure always have to re-torque within 50km. I guess lesson learned. From now on I'll torque them to 150ftlbs. I can't imagine anything going wrong
