TBH- we've had this ongoing joke since we got married, about me having "my" divorce lawyer on speed dial. I don't even remember how it started, but yeah... every once in awhile I (jokingly) say "I'm calling my divorce lawyer!!"

It's been rough.. games start at 8:30 and don't end until super late... but it was a really good game to watch. Both teams look so equally matched.

What I did like though- everyone is focusing their efforts on stopping McJesus, while Draisaitl hammers in 3 assists and a goal. It's been like that all season... they keep missing the mark on Draisaitl and he's been putting up mad points against Anaheim all year.

The best part... 30 seconds into the game, you can here "Let's go Oilers!" at the Ducks arena. Oilers fans are lunatics... they were louder than the ducks fans a number of times, and they were outnumbered at least 15-1. Oilers had this breakaway and a shot on goal... I don't know what to tell you. You can pull any article you want- all I know is we have a very healthy relationship and neither of us does the passive aggressive bs. If there's an issue, it gets laid out and we argue it out and don't sugar coat. No abuse. No demanding. Nothing. If there's an issue, we argue the issue. We don't make it personal. No name calling, no hitting, nothing.

Since we got married almost 4 years ago, I'd say our relationship has only gotten better and stronger, and yeah, we do talk about what is good and what needs work. We're not perfect. Far from it. We have ups and downs just like anyone else. She tells me when I'm a bad husband. When I need to work on stuff. When I need to pull my head outta my a$$. She also tells me when I'm a good husband. When I make her happy. And vice versa. The one thing I've learned is that listening to this stuff, to what she says, to how she feels is #1. We don't always agree... but it's important for me to know where she's coming from and why. One of her love languages is "words"- I could really hurt her by saying passive negative stuff.

I dunno... *maybe* I'm really out to lunch on our whole relationship, but I'd think there would be more and more signs of unhappiness, disappointment, regret, etc. I don't feel or see any of that. We try and make a point of keeping lines of communication as open as possible... She's my Queen. She's my #1. She's all my feels.

Good game...I honestly thought oh-sh*t when the Ducks tied it in the 3rd when the Oil went up 3-1. But, I was just impressed that they did not back off and was able to score the go-ahead...confidence is contagious man. You see it with the Preds and you see it with Edmonton...While I "hated" on McDavid going to Edmonton because that team kept getting #1 overall picks, the fact that the guy has brought his talent is one thing...but, the team BELIEVES with him. And while I think on paper, the Ducks are still the better team (even if I hate them), I think Edmonton has a real shot of going to the Conference Final. I'd be intrigued at a Preds/Oilers tilt.

Still think the Cup goes through whoever wins between Caps/Pens.

Anyways, enjoy the ride...I think it is like how it was for me in 2008 when the Hawks made it all the way to the Conference Final and lost to the Wings. It was just a spectacular joy to watch all of it...I am unsure if the Oil have the depth on D to win ALL of it right now but, it's the playoffs...you just don't know.
