Funny that I started this thread back in 2011, and in 2014 I brought one to Chicago for a show I was co-hosting. It definitely was worth it as the car was one of the main attractions.
Akira Nakai San has been busy lately. The man behind Rauh-Welt Begriff recently took to slapping his trademark style on a 964 Targa. The build happened in LA, and it marks the very first Rauh-Welt has turned its eye towards the 911 with the removable roof.
Purists will likely recoil in horror at the sight of Nakai taking a rattle can and a drill to any 911, even a lowly Targa, but there's something about the builder's cavalier style that makes me smile. It's just a car, after all.
My first thought, before seeing the photos, was that maybe the steering wheel blocked part of it. The 944 had an inverted tach, needle went 'down' instead of up, because the steering wheel blocks the top part of it.
