Looking for some advice on fitment with some new wheels I purchased

Just recently joined AcuraZine after using a thread to help me install my TruHart coilovers (which was a pain in the ass) but definitely a nice learning experience. I'm making this thread because I need some help with fitment on these new wheels I just got. They are Aodohan DS01 the fronts are 18x9.5 and the rear is 18x10.5. I will be test fitting the wheels on tomorrow and take more pictures but do you guys think I will need to run a camber kit in the back? Any advice, comments, feedback, constructive criticism etc. would be greatly appreciated!

I think you'll need fender work and tons of camber.

You'll need to make up approximately 25mm in the front, and approximately 38mm in the rear. That's MASSIVE. You will need death-drop, death-camber, and camber kits front and rear...along with rolling and pulling to make these work. But it can be done for sure.

I wonder if these will rub the inside of the fender...or allow the front steer-wheels to turn fully.

Easily. There will be no rubbing on the inside, even if he had a 285 tire. It's the +15 offset.

I rolled, pulled, and even added some bacon waves to my fenders in order to fit 18x9.5 +22.
I havent yet played with camber, cuz i like how it looks for now...and no skrilla...

but think about it for a second....i rolled. pulled. I cut fender tabs. all together, i've probably spent about 3 hours in total, fucking with my fenders. and my wheels are not as nearly as aggressive as the rears you want

He'll be 7mm outboard of you in the front, which can easily be corrected with more drop (more negative camber), and a skinnier tire.
He'll be 20mm outboard of you in the rear, which can be corrected, but will require vastly increased negative camber via camber kit, and a skinnier tire than should be run on a 10.5" wheel.

The reason you had so much issue fitting is because you are higher, giving more positive camber. If you were to get a camber kit F&R and go -2° front & rear you'd be fine, and the car would look fantastic. Don't be afraid of camber less than -2.5°, it'll create no issues at all, and very little increased tire wear.

well, i aint scared of camber...just lost a job, so no funds at the moment
which has been my MO since day one!! lol only upgrade if something is broken

so until the left rear wheel starts bothering me in looks dept....camber at -1.7 and right rear is at -2
i'll fix it later later...it still drives and tracks straight, as toe is onpoint!

and I find that we can talk about fitment issues, but newbies wont learn from measurements...they need to actually get their hands dirty and test fit and play with their wheels and fenders!!
watch, in a few hours, a new thread will pop up asking about wheel specs.

Exactly, toe is so much more important than camber.

Doesn't bother me, I don't mind, my knowledge of other things is very limited, so I like to be able to contribute to the guys wanting info on base car fitment or a-spec wheel specs.

Ilike that attitude
just seems like a lot of people skip wheel calculators and wont break out the tape measure

i mean, it took me 5 years to purchase wheels
this was my first set of aftermarket wheels in my short 30 years of life... and I think I did it perfectly!! i studied and learned from people on here....
and then when a buddy was storing a set of TE37's because bolt pattern wasnt correct, I jumped on them, as they were perfect specs for the TL!!

Most guys just don't have a starting point. I was lucky to find a guy on here that had pretty much the exact specs I wanted, so then it was just tweaking for my particular car.
I then use that as a baseline for other guys.

Wow, that pinch-weld in the back looks HUGE, my 2007 isn't like that at all. Does it go all the way around like that?? If so, I wonder when they changed it?

This is may sound dumb but I'm not sure what you're referring to 😂

no. he is using improper lift points....unless he's lifting on the subframe

my 06 has two small pinch welds near their respective tires.

This part:

Mine didn't look nearly that wide from the factory. Maybe it's just an optical trick.
