Unfortunately I didn't make it to the RK Charlotte show. Was in the garage working on a kart for a client most of the day. Definitely had all doors and windows open though... what a weekend weather-wise!

It was an awesome weekend weather wise and it looks like we are going to get high 60s low 70s again this coming weekend. It is like spring is in full effect already a month early. Hope it doesn't mean an extra long and hot summer though.

^ I'll be at GoPro on Saturday with a client... and so far the weather looks great!
Funny you mention that about the spring... I saw on the news over the weekend that the Piedmont area was 18 days early for tree buds. The mountains are 22 days early!! And I don't know about you... but we've had daffodils in bloom down here for over a week already. Pretty crazy...
I don't mind the hot summer so much, but we need rain. Started out promising but we've been in a dry pattern again which is not good since winter/spring is when we get a bulk or our annual rain. If we stay dry through spring it may be another pretty big drought again this summer...

Saw a lot of nice cars driving around on sunday. This has got to go down as the warmest February in the history of Charlotte. I think we blew the record out of the water by 7 degrees the other day. This is normally our greatest chance for snow this week but not happening this year. I'm literally about to go mow the back yard. I'm hoping the bamboo rhizomes are taking advantage of the warm weather.
What have I been up to Tyler? Eating Chickfila and building lego. Nothing new lol. Random house mods here and there. Retinted the passenger window on the lexus the other day.

I think Bryan took that photo at tuner evolution.
And there is no way this summer will have less rain. Last year was atrocious. I sort of gave up on the grass.

We are on well and we don't have irrigation... so I get the grass nice and green in spring and fall and it does whatever it wants in the summer. We don't have much grass so not really a big deal.
I will say I don't miss the days of watering the lawn and water bills...

Starting to lurk on the new bojangles that is opening near Lexus northlake. I think the first 100 customers get 52 free breakfast combos or something like that.

No that isn't mine. I don't think there is anyway he gets that price for that though either. Still miss mine. I saw that one at Tuner Evolution though.

I saw that price and thought it was high. Unfortunately my account is on lockdown for me... so can't even make a play for it...

So CnC was gigantic...thats the most packed that place has ever been!

March is usually one of the biggest ones... especially if the weather is nice. July usually will rival it though.

Yeah, Saturday was insane. Regardless of turnout, I'm going to start parking in the lower lot.

Is it at the same place it's been (next to Bojangles in the Windstream lot in Matthews)? I didn't realize they had another lot...

iTrader: (3)
Yep! There's a set of stairs at the back of the lot that go into a lower level.

Happy birthday Tyler.
So all I had to do was file the little piece of metal on the end of the blue wire so it would go into the slot. It was too wide. The install is complete and now i'm just waiting for night. Will definitely go drive around and see how they perform. I could already see the distinctive cutoff line when I turned them on in the garage. Will order some for the high beams next.

LED in a HID projector
just as bad as HID in a halogen reflector bowl. The optics just won't be the same. As much as I love LEDs, they're not ready yet headlight prime time. I would have just stuck with the OEM ballast, got some better HID bulbs (CBI,CBH, Ultinon, Nightbreakers, etc.) and called it a day.

Gentlemen,
I have a number of Acura CL parts that I am giving away for free. They were all taken from a 03 Acura CL 6MT spare engine I had for my car when I owned it, a few items include:
Engine Cover, Valve Covers, Intake Plenum Covers (drilled and tapped for N2O nozzels), Fog Light Housings, Acura CL Service Manual (dealer 1000pg manual), Chrome Grill Bezel, HID Balast Housing, etc. . .
I do not want to ship hence why I am posting in this thread. If you are local to the Charlotte area and interested please let me know. If I don't hear from anyone this week all of this stuff is going in the trash which I really don't want to do if someone can use any of it. (704) Nine 00- Three 1 Nine 6 Please text if interested. Thanks.

Well guys I have some bad news. Ive only told a few people but the Subaru is being bought back from me. 4 days after the purchase I started having misfire issues. CEL came on for cylinder 1 & 3 misfires. I reset to see if it would in fact come back to the same cylinders and instead it jumped from cylinder to cylinder. I replaced all spark plugs to no evail. Its rare for all coil packs and injectors to fail at the same time. There are no open recalls for the ECU but there are bulletins. At this point it could be multiple causes and without having to throw money at it getting parts that may not fix the issue the car is going back. For all new parts before labor would be $1600 out of pocket. Also the extended warranty I bought doesnt cover any of this stuff. Im trying to get my $5k back from the down payment to put towards my friends built bugeye but so far someone has already but their deposit on it. If it does sell im looking to purchase a 2010 Acura TSX with 6 speed manual....it would give me a legit purpose to be back on this forum lolol. Its black on black, no navigation, and 67300 miles

What do you think about the new choice?
Moderator
iTrader: (3)
It's the reliable choice...but also the boring choice The manual will be fun but that's about it. Can you run Hondata on it? Won't you miss the FI?
I do like that body style though. The interior is a perfect size.
