LED Illumintated Door Handle Problem
I recently purchased a 2014 RLX Advanced Package with 18k miles and my illuminated door handles do not light up anymore when i get close to the door handle. I'm not sure if this is caused by a dead battery i had yesterday. I had my music running on accessory mode for 15 min while I was cleaning my car ( Stupid me ). My whole car started flickering and error messages started popping up everywhere and eventually everything shut down. Once I jumped the car everything worked fine again. I was wondering if this is something you can fix in the settings ? I checked everywhere and couldn't find anything. Thanks!

My first action in your case would be to replace the battery. Listening to music for 15 minutes should NOT be enough to drain the battery, thus it suggests that your battery was already "weak". Many owners have described all sorts of warnings and issues with their RLX with the only constant being that all issues were alleviated by a new battery - suggesting that the issues were related to a "weak" battery.
Just my two cents.

I'm not familiar with the RLX, but I am just throwing out the possibility that it might be under some menu and got turned off when it died. Try checking the manual if you haven't already.

I agree it is likely your battery. When the battery becomes weak some features will not operate properly or discontinue operating as if the battery goes into survival mode.
The illuminated LED door handles are not part of the customizable settings in the MID.
Also possible a fuse was blown with the jump. I believe the door LEDs are on the same circuit as the footwell and door cubby LEDs, so if they are not working it is the fuse.
But I agree with hondamore, the battery should not have died with 15 minutes of using the stereo on ACC - it is likely due for replacement. The batteries seem to last 2-3 years on theses cars.

The door handles only light up if the doors are locked on mine.

I agree with both hondamore's comments about the likelihood of the battery being weak and ready for replacement as well as these comments about the LED door-handle lites only lighting when the doors are locked. I have a 2014 Advance trim car as well. If you have just purchased your car it may have been sitting on a lot for a while and the original battery is likely needing replacement by now for sure.

I thought they were part of the security system??? Q told me the handles are developed with dermal grip recognition to identify the owner and unlock the car. If an unauthorized person attempts to enter the RLX the LEDs are actual lasers that zap the offender's hands into a crispy nub.
