So...to match the monochromatic badge inserts, I opted to pick up a set of these oem caps from ebay. Should look good, I hope. If not, they were cheap.
rockstar143, I like the Burton Silver and don’t want to be flippant and/or sound like a mean killjoy when I say this; however, I, much like yourself, would really have liked to have seen the lighter Silverstone. In your excellent pictures above, it’s hard not to compare and contrast, when looking at the silver wheels on the vehicles surrounding your car, how the ‘middle ground’ Silverstone would have looked.
When time permits, perhaps a few pictures of the car can be taken, in the full glory of our Florida sun, so as to get a better visual interpretation of the Burton Silver versus the tree shaded contrast of the neighborhood street above. That’s just my critical eye, I guess.
I understand it is ‘way to late’ at this point and you and yours had to make a plan B command decision to facilitate your transportation dynamic within the household at the time. Nevertheless, here is to hoping that ‘reddy kilowatt’ will be generous with bonus’ and/or profit sharing, in future, so that you may revisit entertaining the thought of either purchasing a sic wheel package or PC’ing again down the line.
Well written, man...
previous set of photos showed them in different lighting.
Maybe it's just Stockholm syndrome but, as time has gone on, I've fallen much more in love with them. Especially after cleaning them for the first time yesterday and realizing that they looked free of brake dust until I wiped them down.
Yeah, silverstone might have been awesome...but there's no way to know...I actually really love the silver pop of the caliper behind them and enjoy the added shade while still being subdued.
I also know if I were going silver, I'd just buy or swap for a set of oem silver, I'd never pay to RE-powder a perfectly uncurbed set of wheels I already had done once!
Thanks. I tried to be very diplomatic; however, that sometimes can be lost in translation within a 'body of text' when trying to just communicate objectively in said format.

I get it, and that's great and all that counts! You are a man of action, in regards to your V modding, and share your results on here with the rest of us. That is to be commended, IMHO, unlike others who say a lot, in the 'yo-bro' conversation, but don't seem to substantiate it in regards to action. Not that they have to please me or anyone else, just saying.
Well done. Can't wait to see how your emblem idea/project turns out.
Wow, okay!
I actually didn't ask for an opinion on them at all.
I got them because they are oem and don't have the colored cadillac flag so it'll not clash with the new inserts I ordered.

The centre caps, the theme, I'm not sold on it, although I do like the emblems I'm not sure about the caps. Im looking forward to seeing it all on the car though and how it all ties in
I like the OEM Caddy emblems
The wheel colour is sweet I really like how the other shade of silver on the caliper pops, ultra clean OEM style

Thanks man, yeah, w'ell see...if they stick out like a sore thumb I'll just keep the black ones.
Nice!
Thank god you did not have a 'hair' for some tire fuckery. Otherwise, Sunrise popo be uptight...
To say the least, that AMEX building is a shit ton larger than their campus off Cleary.
zeta knows his shit...
Andrew, made for cool reflections!
So, I'm minding my business, shooting the car. Some islander official looking dude walks out from the side of the building...I wave at him. He ignores me. He gets to about 15 feet from me, he snaps a picture of me. I'm kinda taken aback like WTF is your problem...he goes, what are you doing? I'm like, uhhh...taking pictures of my car (as if that wasn't obvious). This is an active construction site, you can't be here. I was like, no problem, man...have a nice weekend and I get back in my car. Then, as I drive away I have this nagging feeling like, fuck that motherfucker, I'm not 19 years old...there are no posted signs except toward the back of the property so I drove out to double check, saw no signs and drove back to him. I'm like, hey, I get it...you have a job to do but just so we're clear it's not posted anywhere that I can't be here so there's really no reason for your attitude, I've been nothing but respectful. That motherfucker says to me, "and...what are you looking for, I've advised you that you're trespassing"...then I was a smart ass...I was like, "uh...well, I understand what you're saying...you're saying YOU'RE SORRY and guess what, I appreciate and accept your apology"...to which he gets SUPER pissed and says he's calling the cops. I was like, go for it, it's not posted. I still left though, we had a game to catch.
What a fucking super security guard...
I forgot my cell at home too or I was gonna take a picture of him and ask for his name and credentials. In the end, I didn't really push the issue because the cops and anyone else would simply state that it is private property and I'd been asked to leave, they wouldn't address my feelings and the fact that he was a fucking cocksucker.
OH well, onward with our day
Fucking wagon doubles as tailgate seating and a changing table
OMG dude, that's some account.
Sounds like you were probably PTZ surveilled by said 'Paul Blart' islander who, in the moment, had a DHS shiver transcend his spine. "Man with a camera-Man with a camera, over"
that's exactly what I thought!
I felt like I should have stood up to him more, but then again, getting arrested wasn't the goal. I did my job though, I pissed him off royally with my audacity!
I yelled at a meter maid on Wednesday..
She was giving a ticket to a mom taking her kids to daycare.
She saw the poor lady, waited til she was walking away with the kids, then went to scan the registration.
I told her she can't give her a ticket, she's within the zone and will be right back.
The mom was barely parked out of the drop-off zone (1/2 in, car was blocking), hazards on and everything.
Meter maid said "I can't hear you," so I went ahead and berated her at a strong amplitude.
Her response was, "Do you want me to call APD?"
My response "For what you dumb cunt? Fuck off and have a nice Thanksgiving"
Some construction guys yelled across, "they don't give a fuck dude!"
Moral support..
Dude, what kills me is the after...all of the things I shoulda said or done!
In the end, I think I handled it well, no cursing, didn't raise my voice or call him names...just pointed out that he should put some respek on my name and then made him mad!

hehe, live to fight another day, brah.
On the other hand, rockstar143, when said security guard submits his sneak picture of you and probably a rear shot of your gleaming sled, marking the digital time stamp point in his mandatory incident document, some supervisor's going to lift his eyebrows and say, Oh, hell yeah! Check out that tight V, mon!

Those would look tits with just a little bit of highlighting or contrast. Like if there were just some darker contrast to match your new badges. Or something the same color as your wheels to break up the monochrome. To me, they look unfinished. But maybe that's just because of the stock photo.

Well, on the other hand I did think this...wtf would I even say to a cop or supervisor...oh that guy is a meanie. Uh, okay sir, how old are you? He really is such a meanie...okay sir but now you've been advised to leave and that's what needs to happen. I know but mean mean MEAN!
but yeah, he took a pic of me and my tag as I left. I think that's really set me off...coming at me like that. In hindsight, I had a D7000 in hand. I should have started snapping pictures of him really blatantly.

Thanks Joe...yeah, that's the plan...see if I like the contrast...but I'll likely end up duplicating the look of the inserts I get with a small brush and maybe plastidipping the main circle.

Great pic, I think the color of the wheels is perfect on a black car.. The more I see this color, the more I wish I would have gotten mine coated a shade or two lighter...
Thanks guys...
considering it, but I kinda don't mind it...there just happens to be a LOT of it.
I experimented with gunmetal dip last night on an old edger blade...want to see how close to the wheel finish it looks with the glossifier before proceeding.
Jason might have been onto something with black around door trim and then some matching grey.
