Livin that hoist life bruh, and no that is not me in the pic lol
Livin that storage life! If you look closely in the relfection theres a sweet white and blue SRT challenger.
Im going to take your advice J, and go with red stipe tails next season and maybe go back to the OEM red side markers as well.

I haven't got it sorted out yet. The height of the car is not where i want it at all so in order for me to go lower Im going to have to run 225s at least in the front but I'm thinking of doing that all around.
Going to do a 25mm spacer in the back and put the 20mm up front. I want the lip of the wheel to poke out just a little bit

I've been unofficially subscribed to this thread for a while now so I figured I should stop by and make it official. This is by far my favorite color on the TL and you're lucky to have it. I can't wait to see what's in store for after the winter. I wish I had a beater and my TL could live the luxurious storage life for the winter

thank you my man. Keep on plugging away and yours can look just as good if not better!
Cpl things planned for next summer if I can get my funds in order
But I need to start focusing on maintenance items now. Motor mounts, power steering pump rebuild, I also have a very small oil weep that only coats half the block on the pass side so I think my oil pump is weeping a little, nothing major as I see zero oil spots on the ground.
And oh yea my headlights are all fucked up as well. Oh good times LOL

one time i didn't check it regularly and i could tell my car was not performing well (vtec, starting, etc). checked my oil and it was just below the "low" mark...i freaked out and didn't drive it until i filled it back out. now i check it every 4 weeks....more if vtec happy hahah
just a heads up jeff!!

Yes, sockr1 is totally correct on this. Mine leaks on the passenger side too but I just keep an eye on it.. In an 8000 km change interval, I'll lose about 1/2 to 3/4s of a litre. Still well above the min mark, but I'll top it off around 4000km into the change interval and it keeps me good until the end.

thanks for the heads up fellas. I drive the car 10,000 km a year max so I think I'm good to go on that front. Come to think of I didn't even put 5k on it this season
But when I come up with some coin I do plan on getting in there and doing a full 105k service with the exception of spark plugs. Ill do all the seals and oil pump seals and what not too!
My timing belt is fairly new though, however my thought process is if I'm going to fix that oil pump may as well just do the whole shebang in one shot
I do plan on keeping the car a long time so I do want to address all of this stuff in due time

Question though, when I had the car in the air looking at the leak I couldn't really pin point where it was coming from but figured it was the oil pump.
What exactly is the culprit of the pass side leak? Oil pump seal??

Car's still looking awesome. Those RS's tho love em. No volks in sight *sigh*
I dig your winter beater too. It's unfortunate they didn't bring the CLX to the states. I really like the Type S.

yup this was the csx type s. It had the k20 6MT.. Basically the Civic Si
They made these through 05-11... The Type S was only available in 07 if I'm not mistaken. This is what the EL turned into then the CSX became the ILX
My winter beater is the 03 Acura 1.7 EL... It has the d series motor. Which was the civic Si in the states

Type S was available for several years. Definitely 07-08, as I was looking at those in particular, but I'm pretty sure they went up to 2010. Just no one was buying the later year Type Ss
It can come from a number of places, unfortunately. I haven't pin pointed mine either. The VTEC solenoid is another, plus there are seals there, like the cam seals, or crank seal, if I'm not mistaken. Either way, a pain in the ass. The best time to fix it is when you go in to do your timing belt. Mine started leaking after the belt was done, so I've never gone back in.
Why did you say you won't do your spark plugs when you do your 105k service?

because my plugs are brand new NGK, i doubt they got 5k on them. I changed those when I did the whole 3.7 manifold business
Im going to dig into the archives of azine when the time comes and do everything thats in that general area even if it doesn't need to be replaced lol
The PO of my TL did have the timing belt done at around 150xxx kms and I'm at 220xxx kms now so the belt is still more than good so I likely will not touch this leak for another 2 seasons and just keep an eye on it like y'all said
