UPDATE:

ST Coilovers & refreshed upper control arms are finally on the car.

For something that's 15 years old and originally from Ohio, I had quite a journey getting it apart due to seized bolts on the UCAs and new replacement parts setting me back a week.

As far as driving impressions, they're quite bouncy because apparently I'm not low enough . ST Coilovers recommend a minimum of 1.6" drop all the way around, I believe I'm at around an inch or so.

Here's a few teaser pics, car will be lowered a bit more and washed by tomorrow afternoon

Thanks! I didn't get a chance to lower it this afternoon.

I read the technical specifications for the coilovers and it's 12.6" minimum from the fender to the hub .. I am roughly 13" and it rides like absolute shit. Thing is, I really can't lower that much more ... it already is as maxed out as it can get without scraping .

I didn't think my front end would clear my driveway before installing coils. I had to change my approach pulling in and out, but it barely clears. I'm sure you will make it work. The suspension riding like shit defeats the purpose of installing coils.

Agreed - I've mastered my parking in the garage and unfortunately there's no more angle to hit. It's crazy, the current ride height tucks the rear like this:

My plan is getting KW / ST support involved and looking at my ride height / specs and going from there. Last thing I want to do is tear the suspension apart again, but if it means good ride quality I'll take another look at it.

Picture I snapped this morning:

My goal was to lower it a bit & refresh the suspension at the same time, not slamming the car .... although the flexibility of ride height with air would be nice.

Realistically, air would not have been an option ... I'd rather put that money towards the Stage III build

Thanks! I love the blue so much ... I even tried getting the GF to paint our bedroom that color.

It did not end well.

Well I was more so going for the ability to adjust the ride height to get in and out of your driveway not so much to slam it (which I'm not a fan of anyway).

Yeah, I like the adjust-ability aspect of it .. the money part is the issue .

I'd like to report that after a few days of driving, the coilovers have settled a little bit. The ride is definitely firmer than I was expecting, but it's not as jolting / bouncy as before when they were first installed.

I also confirmed with KW / ST that my car is within spec. 12.6" is the minimum (lowest) distance you can go from the axle to fender, I'm currently at 13" .

I know how you feel man. No way I can lower anything otherwise I'll scrape. Even my wife's stock ride height 7G accord scrapes if she doesn't go slowly.

nice man!! I dig the stance too. Air would have been a bit overboard for something like this IMHO!

And are you puckering up for the perimeter of my asshole?

TylerT...I know you've taken a decade to decide you might want to marry someone.
But until you're sure you want a child, please continue to "pull away".
And when you do, please post videos of it.

Good advice.

I don't know when, but I'm sure I'll plant some of my demon seeds sooner than that.
