I don't need to. That part is already figured out. I've got the Acura's door lock cylinders and ignition lock already swapped over. It's just a matter of repinning one of the ecu's plugs. The Ody's ECU plug A needs to be the CL's plug E.
So I'm pretty sure that I've pulled all that needs to be pulled from that Acura. I'll probably be sending it down the road this week. Now the hard part begins.

The transmission is on a dolly. The engine is strapped to a pallet. Most importantly, the Acura is gone. Today I'm cleaning the garage and moving the Odyssey over to the other side to make room for my wife's van.
Its entirely too late, but would those wheels have fit on the Oddy? Because I think they look pretty nice and would have been a neat homage to what's inside.

The wheels are nice... I'd imagine all he would need is some wheel spacers to make them fit right. I can't imagine wheel widths are all that much different between the CL and Odyssey. Diameter is likely the same too.
I didn't really want the wheels. I only had three to begin with. They aren't the coolest in the world. To be honest I like the plain black steel wheels better.

I dropped the engine and parts off last night. The guy is super excited. He wants me to bring it in when I finish it. He requoted the price at $400 instead of $180. I kinda figured he hadn't heard the whole list of things I wanted done over the phone and he confirmed it when I dropped it off.
Following and how has it been going? Also the tl type s throttle body is 64mm what is the odysseys throttle body spec? I am going to begin undertaking the same project, matung an accord manual to the J35A4 thats in my 2004.
I've got the engine back but it's just been sitting in the garage on a pallet. I don't have heat in that garage and the other garage isn't big enough to work in.
Oh, good deal. What was done to the motor? And you had the pre facelift odyssey so thats the J35A2? I know my 04 has the A4....im going to pull its throttle body off and compare it to the type-s throttle body and see which one i want to send off to be bored out. You are probably joking, but we are all lost causes. good news is that God bought us back from the devil by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay our penalty for rebelling against Him. Just got to receive the free gift by faith otherwise its like check that is never cashed, won't do you any good.
And the ECU is gonna be a headache. I remember going through the nightmare of try got find a program and person to tune the J32 eco which loves to rewrite anything not factory after a drive cycle. 3 people promised me the moon and stars and delivered me an empty pizza box, lol. But before that drive cycle was over, man, I was loving the power. Props for such a bold project, this is magazine article worthy!

I'm going to use the CL's ECU, as-is. I don't plan on tuning it. Once all of the bugs are worked out, it'll be my wife's daily driver. She'll beat the hell out of it if I give her too much power.

I might. It looks like the trans mounts are both bolted in some way to the subframe. The subframes also looked very similar. I havent gotten far enough into it to know for sure what would have to be done to mount the trans. It doesn't look like I have too much to worry about there. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to mount the CLs park brake handle on the left side of the drivers seat, just above the fuel door popper. I cant use the CLs center console due to lack of space. There's a connection just behind the drivers seat to the cable that runs to the factory Ody park brake pedal. The connection itself is identical in both instances. I'll probably have to have a cable made but I might be able to use what I have. Once the park brake pedal is out of there, I'll have room to mount the clutch pedal and master. I've seen a picture of a homemade bracket welded to the opposite side of the left strut tower with a rod extended through the strut tower to accuate the master. I'm not too excited about running it through and/or so close to the spring. I might get a reverse mount racing style clutch pedal/master cylinder setup like this. I really was hoping to use the factory pedals though. I want it to be a clean install.

Right on, brother. Next month i should pick up a 6 speed trans, probably going with an Accord one as there are more out there. Going to try to get as much stuff out of it as possible as far as the pedal assemblies and clutch hardware. Is ritchie still making the auto to manual electrical converters? Probably pick up a ECU as well incase and if needed have it tuned..
I'm not really sure how it will work, but if you ground pins 1 and 10 on the transmission range selector switch, that should fool the Odyssey's ECU into thinking the trans is in park. I'm not sure how it will respond to moving while it thinks it's in gear, but you may be able to avoid having to figure out how to work around the immobilizer.
I'm using the lock cylinders and ignition cylinder from the CL so the key will work with the immobilizer.

I'm back at it today. I got the Ody's shift lever out. I've also got a plan to finish the install of the hybrid brake pedal. I'm going to have to modify the arm a bit to get it to work. I've got the inner firewall cleared for the clutch pedal. I've just got to figure out how to mount it.
Tried to put the plastic surround back on the steering column last night only to find out that the Acura ignition switch is just a little different. I wound up having to dissect the Acura's switch in order to swap the cylinder into the Ody's switch. I got the hybrid switch installed and all of the plastic surround back on. I've only gotta build a harness and mount the clutch pedal, then it's the home stretch.

No, he shouldn't have to, as long as he has the Manual transmission's OEM mount connector.

No, he doesn't make them any more. If you're serious about going 6 speed, it would be easiest to get an AEM EMS 2.
