rockstar143's 2013 CTS-V SUV Wagon Thread - GM Owner & Cut Springs
I was also going to say that your meticulous documentation skills for all of your cars is really awesome man. I love not coming on azine for a bit then coming into your threads and theres always so much cool content even if its small stuff like changing out bulbs you find a way to make it look cool lol

How do you find working on the V in comparison to Hondas?

Thanks Jefe!
Honestly, same shit...probably slightly worse quality stuff, put together just as well or maybe a LITTLE more solidly...parts are slightly cheaper...and everything is a MM bigger or two than Honda...lugs are 22MM...most suspension bolts are 19MM or 18MM...
Random stuff but in the end, almost all modern cars are put together the same way. I still enjoy turning a wrench though, especially knowing how rewarding the car sounds just to turn ON.

Probably a 1:4 ratio, Joe...
there is little to no activity or sharing of anything over there unless it's "OMG 2.44MM pulley on with meth injection just ran a 1 second quarter mile ZOMG" post thread.
So, yeah...again, to anyone doubting it...I won't be leaving Acurazine for anywhere else. It's home. Fuck.

Stupid small update but basically...I had read that some wagon owners had the upper plastic clip fail and the tail light eventually lifted off the vehicle.
I mentioned that I noticed one of mine is dong that and a fb member contacted me saying he had one he bought before the dealership made good on replacing his under warranty.
Price was write so I jumped on it...

Um...because my polished wheels are all damaged...I used a dremel, then sanded, then polished them so they'd be passable but they are far from perfect.
I can't powdercoat them polished, obviously...but they are fucked up. And the one wheel I just bought for a discount in a great condition is silver and doesn't match.
That is why.
Plus, I don't love the polished wheel look, especially with heavily dusting brake dust. A nice dark shadow silver is gonna look fantastic.

You're making the right decision. I thought the chrome wheels on the Charger were the bomb when I first got the car but now that I have the gunmetal Track Pack wheels I could never go back. They do hide brake dust nicely and for big cars they help give it sportier look.

ain't no way I'm doing bronze on oem wheels...
betty hates it overall but she REALLY hates it on the oem wheel!
I'm sticking with that first color that popped to us...silverstone...if it's anything like Tyler's color S2000 it's gonna be awesome...light enough for contrast but not too light either.

great deal including tires...
Betty hates the color...but she hated my RSX and S2000 colors too and I love them.
I know it's a little loud, but damn they'd look good.
Guy doesn't know offset so I'll have to see if they'd even work but basically...it's a baller
set of wheels I *shouldn't* be able to afford.
We'll see...not sure I'm 100% on going this route instead of getting the oem powdercoated and calling it a day.

Personally have never been a big fan of that color. Actually I don't really like those "anodized" looking wheel colors in general. To me, it's kind of like the new chrome. Bit too flashy, but then again most importantly, it's not my car... plus the V is one of the few cars that can pull off that color, and you can go with any color wheels you want on a black car.
Then I'm also one of those jagoffs that likes Takata Green TE37s

Thanks Costco (Ironically, had a good argument about it with the wife at Costco just now).
It ain't gonna happen...
she's like, hey dumbass...you just spent xyz on this crazy car...
now you keep going back and forth about getting the oem wheels powdercoated and now you come up with this bullshit and want new wheels that cost
a pretty penny even though they are a "good deal" and in addition "I fucking hate them" (her).
in the end, she's right...oem wheels done in silverstone with some new rubber all around will be fucking amazing.

bro, I gave up my man card long ago.
anyone in a marriage that'll last does that, I'm sure I don't have to tell you that.
In the end, she's right...oem is forged and will cost me $500 to get looking perfect.

I tend to agree with that statement, which is why getting the oem refinished and throw some matching new rubber on it, seemed like a smart idea.

It all started with this fucking cracked wheel...otherwise, I'd get all the life out of the michelin, probably would have ordered a double set of rear DW like Majofo...and done burnouts at will.
But alas...
Groceries, wife and kid in car, I'm definitely rubbing...hoping the DW with thinner sidewalls won't...otherwise I'll be grabbing a set of 6MM spacers from mont motorsports all around or removing them altogether.
Other than that...car is fuckin solid...giving me no troubles...knock on wood.

would it be pretty fair to say that all of you also are saints for putting up with me?
Since I post most of my thoughts and bullshit on here too.

Not me. When I get tired of your shit, I just put you on block and then it's like you nevar existed.
B can't do that. Without potentially facing a long stretch in lockup.
