Purchased & signed the deal on her today. They'll be delivering her Thursday night. She's pretty well loaded, '08 with a 36k on the odo, has a couple flaws, but I couldn't pass her up; had everything I originally wanted in a Z.

Surreal feeling, and I don't even have her yet.

The stock valve guides in the LS7 are the only worry points I'm aware of about that motor. Two of my buddies have dropped valves from the poor valve guide machining and destroyed the long block over them.
Nice as long as you have warranty I wouldn't sweat it but the day it ends its time for heads as 'preventative maintenance' and some fun

Pics from when she was delivered, and one where my cars finally met lol. Apologize for the awful phone pics, though.

I am starting to wonder though, if the previous owner did address the head issue or did anything else. I've found that the back of my little cubby holder just under the temp. controls had been cut out, exposing some wiring. Not sure what the previous owner had there unless it was a radar.

i only suggested it because z06 boy hides his mild to wild remote in that cubby so he doesn't have to carry it around on his keys... but since it is wireless, it wouldn't explain the wires... maybe a wideband?
