Hi guys...

amazing how if you break routine, your body gets very resourceful with energy storage.
breakfast at the staging site was cold old muffins and coffee...yay.
I sound like one of these old, jaded, spoiled employees.

LOL...
it's all good, Adam.
I'd say we kinda have a strained relationship. Going to see her is the right thing to do.
I hate leaving my house.
What sucks most is I was looking forward to a weekend with the girls before departing and instead I'm stuck working 16 hour days until the last minute.
On the plus side, my neighbor cut the grass for me today because he's awesome and he was really
afraid of me losing YOTM.

Naw...my neighbor that goes by the nickname Buddy...
He's awesome. He hurt his ankle yesterday apparently, so he called Betty and offered to do it.
I thought for sure he was doing it so he could use the riding mower on his lawn too (which I wouldn't have minded) but nope...he had already cut his with his mower.
I'm so cynical!
What a nice dude, I'll have to bring him a pint or something as a thank you.

I didnt get the job, they hired not one but 2 asian chicks with zero fucking experience. Im lost on that decision.
Only thing I can think of is that the new liberal government is under a lot of pressure to hire visible minorities and that they are giving the bigger companies incentives to do so..
What a time to be white LOL

Jeff, that's the biggest bullshit I've ever heard.
1. There's never a bad time to be white (in Canada).
2. Maybe those chicks had something you didn't. Soft supple lips? Better communication skills?
Fuck... the day I hear that being white in canada is a disadvantage

Did hiring manager have a copy of "Memoirs of a Geisha" on the shelf behind their desk?
Next interview, go in with the "casting couch" mentality. You'll get hired. Shoot, you'll even probably get a paycheck and a load
of benefits!

You should probably start applying to jobs that you consider "beneath you". You'll nail those and work your way up to something worth your 2 year college degree.
This job was certainly not above me thats for sure. I dont like to think like that. I like to think I can't get anything. Like i said my interview went damn well but yes Joe your right those asians get crazy grades and I certainly did have some bumps along the way lol
Just takes time I guess
On another note, I haven't smoked in over 30 days so I could be clean for the piss test that they do. Today I'm smoking my brains out LOL.

We all had bumps, man...
don't be so
hard on
yourself.
You'll nail something, for sure.
Key is to go into the interview thinking you wanna see why they think they would be good enough for YOU to work for.
Sheesh, didn't you learn anything from Office Space?

they are in no way affiliated with the government though.
I also dont don't know why a company would choose someone completely new as opposed to someone with experience. They must've saw something they didn't like in you, or something they liked in them hoes that you didn't have.
either way, who cares- you can't do anything about it now. Move on to the next one. Have your resume looked over by professionals- ask them if there's something they see that doesn't look good. Even the formatting is enough to throw someone off from even interviewing you. dont pull up in your TL. Pull up in something modest. Etc...
doing interviews, man, within 30 seconds I knew if I wanted to hire someone, regardless if they had experience. Experience can be taught. Everything else cannot. I still chat with them for 30-60 minutes, but yeah, instantly knew if I wanted them as part of the team. Maybe the team dynamic was different for that position. Who the fuck knows.
all I know is getting a 3rd person perspective regarding your resume, your clothing, your car, your demeanour, etc. Goes a long way. They can point out shit that isn't evident to you.
Another funny thing... Wifey and I were talking about it just 2 days ago... No one gives a fuck about your education or your grades. Not once have I been asked to prove I'm an engineer. They just take my word for it. Same with grades. No one ever cared. The only time I heard of them asking was when hiring straight out of school, but even then, less than half of my friends were ever asked. I know I was never asked, that's for sure. Thank God
yea I most certainly did not pull up in the TL lol
Adam cmon man im not some punk off the streets lol. Im educated, I look and speak professional and Ive had my resume edited by a career councillor. I know what I'm doing lol its just the way she goes sometimes.
