Goodbye, and fairwell
Hi guys it's with great sadness to announce that I'm parting ways with my 09 Acura RDX. This forum and the members has assisted me in doing easy DIY.
I really enjoyed the RDX, as it served well in snow and on dry condition.
If anyone is interested, I have some RDX parts and accessories that are available. I'll post those in the sale section with pix.
If you're curious on what I gave up the RDX for, I got 2017 Porsche Macan .

Well, glad you enjoyed the RDX... Man, 2009's are already getting replaced... Last time I checked, 2009 was brand new... Dang....
What all did you have done to your RDX?
How are you planning on selling it?
Ok, lots of questions, I know!!!
I have a 2007 with 183,338, love it!!!
Lastly, Enjoy the Porsche!!!

Accessories: roof rails, side step, mud flaps, 19 inch rims
Mods: 6k hid bulb upgrade, led drl, HID fogs
I traded it in, got $12k. I know I can get more if I sold it myself, but I didn't want to deal with it.
For those wondering why I have so low miles is because for the 1st 5 years of this car, it was only driven in the winter and on long trips.
Even the sales was surprised on the low miles. My previous car to RDX was Lexus IS300.
As mentioned earlier if anyone is looking for Acura fluids and accessories, I'll be posting those later in the for sale section.
Here are some pix. I will define miss this beauty

Wow!!! That's a nice RDX!!!
I'm surprised they gave you that much for it...
The dealer will probably list it for $18K, I bet...
How fid the LEDs work for the high beam? Was it a crew kit, or just a standard LED cluster?
The fogs being LED, that must have looked really nice!!!
Thinking about upgrading lights, I do hate the high beams, I usually can't even tell if they're on... I need more light...

Midnight, the DRL LED are just bulbs. During the daytime, they look like I have halos, which I don't. During the night time, I pretty much lose my high beams, you can only see the LED beam at close distance.
I don't really use the highbeam that much cause the 6k HID are brighter than the factory bulbs. As for the fogs, they are HID with a kit, not LED.
If you need more light, upgrade your HID bulbs to 6K, and for your fogs, get HID instead of LED. I've read that HID are supposedly brighter than the LED kits. The LED kits are a lot easier to installer.
I'm probably going to end up getting HID for the fogs on my Macan.

That is one damn fine looking RDX! Sorry to see you go, but you can't just come in here, announce you bought a macan and then not give us pics! Come on man, we NEED pics!!
On a serious note, the Macan has seriously been one of my favorites since it came out. Hoping to step into a cayenne turbo s in a few years though. Congratulations.

Let us know driving impressions as well. I am sure it blows the rdx out of the water, but the rdx would probably be able to keep up!

When I test drove the car it definely felt really solid and smooth. Less bodyroll (staggered tires) and the turbo lag (it's a Porsche)was better than the RDX.
I chose the 4 cylinder cause it was better fuel economy, and it was what I can afford without selling my organs. I really didn't care about the options, cause I specifically told the SA, I need to have the Macan Turbo rims. Those rims looks similar to the 19s on my Acura, but the spokes are thinner, so it shows more of the rotor and caliper.
I wasn't rdy to buy , they totally threw me off by accepting my counter offer.

However I do agree even 160k is too much for this car. I would rather get an NSX 2017 for the same amount

The 4-banger is a new base engine starting with the 2017 model. Should be about as quick as the RDX in a straight line (similar power, torque, weight, etc). But power delivery is likely a different story. Also, gearing alone should make it feel a lot faster off the line. Downside is that for 47k starting price, your standard features are on par with, if not a little behind, a non-tech RDX. But the overall driving experience is likely fantastic, and there's nothing lacking in the standard stuff that I would consider a "must-have". I'd give it a whirl!

plus, are you really using all that on the way to grocery store or to pick up your kid from daycare?
Shoot...I'd buy myself a condo somewhere in the mountains for skiing that I partially use as a airbnb to pay for it...
and a 1995 camry to drive around!
