Oh Sickest TL's '06 Royal Blue Pearl

The RZs on your car are making me seriously reconsider my dislike for the offset split 5 spoke or whatever the hell you want to call this style. Certainly look less awkward than the CR Kais (which I think look hideous).
Also makes me feel like I just need to go get a re-spray... or a new bumper.
Car is looking great, going to look even better once you finally get your RL caliper woes figured out

thanks victor!
You dont like the split 5? Really? Ive always loved that look, especially with some concave.
I'm happy with my height but I'm not happy with the offset of the wheels, but say I had a +30 set then I wouldnt be able to go as low and I'm not rolling my fenders so its a trade off that ill have to live with.
Calipers are being a pain in the ass, so I wont have those on until next season

You could go with a more narrow wheel with a lower offset.
If your offset now is 45 and you want 30 thats 15mm difference. That's a little more than a half inch. Lose half an inch wheel width and gain 10mm of lip/negative offset.
You could lose a full inch in wheel width and make that up with nearly 25mm less offset. Be it you are now on narrower wheels, may or may not be an issue, not sure how well your current wheels to putting power to the road. If they have zero issue sticking then you may be able to drop an inch without it mattering.

without being a horn tooter...
do you know who first painted the projector ring an accent color??!
do you know who immediately stopped doing that so the car wouldn't look like a rolling cartoon
No offense to those that still dig it...I just grew tired of it immediately.

those headlights look amazing jeff!! can't wait to see them on the car, it will flow with the rest of our CF next.
leaking is the main reason why i won't ever touch my headlights. i think they look great oem and would never want to risk opening them up and having them leak.

New headlights installed. Got my body shop to do a correction on the lenses and a clear coat as well. Turned out great. Look brand new.
Changes the whole look of the front end. Now I just gotta get rid of my red calipers lol

Sickest, new headlights look titties. Love them. I too had my headlights restored the day before I attended Spocom. After only 3 years of Cali sun the difference was night and day. Screw the sun!

It definitely should. I have heard of guys back in the day with 2000 and older hondas doing something similar. They would set sand the headlights down real fine then clear coat them. Amazing shine, crystal clear, and lasts as long as a clear coat will.

and have any of you had issue with the morimoto bulbs where the drivers side HID bulb flickers. It flickers when I first turn it on, and also when I hit bumps or make a semi sharp turn. At first I thought a connection was loose but after swapping headlights all connections were observed as fine.

I've tried almost all methods for a permanent solution...the professional grade clear out of a painter's gun is the only thing I'd bother with now. People don't realize that they see some lens protection failure and to fix it, they sand off the rest of it
Jon, I recall JnC had done some color matching of the reflector bezel to his personal vehicle before, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone with painted projector rings (at least not that I saw publicly posted for the 3G)...I originally got the idea from the Honda Insight's blue chrome looking thing in their headlights and tried to recreate it...maybe I'm wrong. Did you see otherwise and that's why you're pointing it out?
In life, no, I'm sure I'm not the first person to think about spray painting a car part.

ok so its not my low beam thats flickering. its my drivers side switchback bulb, it will flicker all weird when I put the blinker on. Also I've noticed that my low beams have two steps to them. one is sharp and then theres a more faint one on top of that. Im assuming I need my headlights adjusted/aimed?
as far as I know that cutoff on the TL with zkw-r it should only be a single razor sharp step cutoff.

those headlights are fresh! they really flow with the rest of the car. i just picked up some customs with zkwr's and the cutoff on both are laser sharp and i havent even adjusted them yet. for yours, it may be the bulb was not seated properly or the zkwr lense was not seated correctly. most people think the lenses are plug and play, but they actually take some fine tuning with spacing to achieve a really sharp cutoff. hope its an easy fix!
