2016 Formula One Fantasy League
Rules for the 2016 Acurazine Formula One Fantasy League:
Rules:
1. For each race weekend, you must post one Driver and one Team as your picks for the event. The Driver you pick does not have to be from the Team that you also pick for the event. Selection for each race must be posted in the event’s thread prior to qualifying. "Prior to qualifying" means the official start of qualifying posted by the FIA in the calendar prior to the race weekend. This deadline will not shift in the event of delays caused during the race weekend, such as weather related delays.
2. You can only choose the same driver 3 times for the entire season. You can only choose the same team 4 times for the entire season.
3. Points calculation will be as follows: Drivers picked for the event will receive points as classified by the FIA after the race results are confirmed. Teams picked for the event will receive 1/2 points as classified by the FIA after the race results are confirmed.
3.a In the event that the race finishes prematurely and the FIA issues 1/2 points, we will still award full points for the purpose of this competition.
3.b If no points are issued by the FIA for a race, we will not award points as well. In which case, the competitors’ picks for that race will not count toward the three pick limit for drivers, and four pick limit for constructors.
3.c In the event that the FIA makes post race penalties, the statue of limitations is 2 weeks from the end of the event or prior to the start of practice of the subsequent race, whichever comes first.
4. Whoever has the highest points total at the end of the season will be declared the Acurazine Formula 1 Fantasy League Champion. Winning the championship has no value, and will not improve your Points, Reputation score, or bank account. Disputes to the game are not subject to arbitration or mediation.
-------------------------------------------------------
Also if everyone that participates sends me there email address, I will send out an email to everyone before each race weekend as a reminder so we have fewer instances of forgetting to make picks. If you sent me your email address last year, then there is no need to resend them to me.
Goodluck to all participants!

It's a two way tie for first place. For everyone else, don't lose hope. 21 races? Who approved such a long schedule?

it's that no good bespectacled little old pygmy elf who approved the 21 race schedule. And why not? He's the one who reaps the benefits of ass raping every country/promoter the race goes to (except Monaco as the HRH Rainier will not be ass-raped)

Dougler takes sole possession of first place after three races. Can he hang on in Sochi?

Dougler maintains the lead at P1. Tommy overtakes F-C for second place. However, both Dougler and Tommy have maxed out their Mercedes picks for the year. Can they maintain their lead going into race 5?

The defending champion returns to the top, as others stumble. Dougler is now in second. Third place Tommy was a no show, as he strategically decided to save one of his Mercedes picks.

I'm getting KILLED, and worse, Tommy didn't even pick and he still is ahead of me.

F-C continues to stay at the front. Tommy is slowly inching towards the top.

Not this year. But don't worry if you miss a race, most of the people usually have a goose egg at the end of the year due to lack of quality picks left.

F-C opens his lead at the top to almost thirty points.
Position changes throughout the field caused by either strategy mistakes or pure dumb luck.

Despite a lackluster race, F-C actually increases his points lead.over second by 40 points.

F-C is still hanging onto the top spot, but the chase has narrowed.
00TL has moved up three places in one race to get to second in the standings. West is now right behind 00TL.
Dougler and Tommy have both dropped out of the podium spots.

I still haven't watched the last race. It's still on my DVR. That's why I forgot all about Germany.

F-C continues to lead the pack, however, West is now only 19 points behind. This is an amazing comeback, considering that West started the season dead last after the first race.

After leading the championship for seven straight races, F-C has been dethroned! Young West has taken over the top spot.
But as Enzo Ferrari may or may not have said, "It is easier to chase than to lead."

Thanks F-C for keeping up with this.

West's reign has been very brief. 00TL now takes over as the leader by a slim 3 points. And don't discount Chief, as he is getting very close to the hotly contested top three positions.

Nice. I do just as well when I forget as when I actually make picks.

Look at the table's top 2: If the season were ending as is, West would win. 00TL's lowest score is a 12.5 while West's is 0.0; that would lead the former with a cumulative total of 384.5 and West with a 393. Hmmmm
