My 2016 RDX Elite victim of a hit and run :(
My vehicle was parked in a parking lot. When I went to open the door, noticed a major scratch (you can see the metal) on the door handle that's about 1/4 of a penny in size. It wasn't there when I parked it, so someone parked beside me must have opened their door and slammed it into my door handle. No note was left, so it is a hit and run. Does anyone have an idea how much this would cost to fix? I'm almost due for the 2nd maintenance service, going to wait till the oil meter goes down to 10-15% then take it in. I might go the the Honda dealership, heard they charge less than Acura for oil change/general maintenance.
This is one of the disadvantages of having a luxury vehicle. If I were driving a beater car, I wouldn't care as much. But it's upsetting to see my luxury vehicle damaged by a hit and run like that.

A scratch a quarter of a penny in size on the door handle. Major hit and run. Sounds more serious than hitting a pedestrian. The mounties had better be looking for the perp.

So... a ding.... or normal wear and tear... I'd wager a Honda/Acura wouldn't even care about that during a lease return inspection... Just a part of life, your car will get dinged...
Now if someone sideswiped your car to the tune of $4k in damage with no note (like someone did to me) that would be more of a hit and run... I
