Ok, stupid question about wheel spacers.

Ive been looking at these p2m spacers and I watched the little video at the bottom of the link:

WHEEL SPACERS

fast forward to about 1:50, where the guy puts the spacer on. How does this work? The spacer is held in place with the 5 tapered nuts he's showing, but, it looks like all ten studs now are more or less the same length. How do you fit a wheel on with only 5 holes? He didnt go and cut them off, did he?

All the vid says is "ok, now that you tightened the tapered nuts on, just throw the wheel back on". What am I missing here?

if the spacers are not thick enough to hide the studs...you need to ensure your wheels have the empty spacing on teh back end that bolts to the hub to accommodate the stud sticking through.

Put the wheel on.

Put lug nuts on the spacer studs.

Start tightening them in a star pattern and let the OEM studs gouge into wheels.

Mad tyte JDM sick yo!

Can't even take it through insurance, because in order to have it covered with no deductible, the damage has to be at least $1000, which I'm guessing a bumper repaint doesn't get that high.

that, and I'd have to file a police report- I don't want a record on the car's vin for something so minor. Looks like I'll be paying out of pocket for someone else's dick move.

So im quite perturbed. I mentioned I got a rock chip yesterday on drive to OKC. About the size of thumbnail. Took it to a body shop place by house just to ask them what options were. Dude looks at it and says....thats an old chip someone tried using a chip repairer to cover it. Said you could see where it went onto the clear a little. Im like no that wasnt there when I bought it. I woulda noticed.....

Now im like wtf. I am 99.9% certain it wasnt there. I even been looking at pics to try see if it was there. Maybe dealer dinged it recently and covered it up when they had her for 3 weeks but I woulda hoped they woulda said something. So either im getting old and senile and it was there and I was just too enamoured to notice, or dealer did it and tried to cover it, or body shop is wrong and a rock really did ding it....

Just bugging me...Mystery length post over...

Someone please help me!! I own an 05 Acura TL base and I have a family friend who is a mechanic and he's the one who sold me the TL. Now, I have an option to replace the engine bc the one on this one has a few problems @ only 175K. My question is, the 2008 acura type s engine is a 3.5 while mine is a 3.2 . Is it possible to put this 3.5 into my 05 TL, which has a 3.2? If not possible then I can get the same engine but waaaaay better condition and fewer mileage. Someone let me know!

Find a 3.2 or find a new car. The transmission can't be good either

Everything can be done if you're motivated.
Although it might require a significant time commitment.
The biggest factor is probably cost though.

Are there any specific goals you want to accomplish?
Sometimes it's easier to just start fresh.
Sometimes it's easier to rebuild like you're saying.
Everyone has their own threshold.
Sure wish you the best though.

I laugh every time I see that meme too. I sadly can't take any credit for it, and it's been posted around AZ numerous times by numerous members. Pure humor, that's for sure!
