Hmm. I just noticed that this new reply interface doesn't have the little button to embiggen text.

You know it's hard to impress people from Florida. If it ain't about a toddler shooting their mom while riding a gator in Walmart who's completely high after snorting a new drug made from powdered feces, it ain't worth mentioning.

Well, that's cuz the air quality where I'm at is lousy too.

*sneezes* Just got in from cutting the grass (working casually from home today).

And LOL, FWIW...having observed both sides of the North American fence, I don't get how Canadians are "nicer". Maybe POLITE is more the word but even then, I think it's more of a stereotyped myth...In San Diego as an example, the people there are significantly NICER than anyone in Canada. And I've been to my share of towns, cities, and etc. for pleasure and work. So I dunno. Heck, ever seen two ladies FIGHT it out in Zellers (back when it was open) for a discount on SHEETS? I did.

What did you settle on? Artificial turf or just real grass?

Welcome back, PB. Don't be a stranger. We want to give you a happy ending, but you keep disappearing.

And on that note- who's dick does a guy have to suck around here to have a browser that doesn't freeze every fucking time a post is made?!

Chrome seems to work decently on my side. Got some adblock going on though, so maybe that helps.

oh man, I'm just doing an artificial grass putting green. Otherwise I'd be paying like 20k to do my whole property in that stuff. No thanks.

I'm not a big fan of having lots of grass- I prefer it more of an accent piece, finishing off nice landscaping... But our property is just too big to be able to do that. Oh well. Gives the dog a lot of room to run around.

Ah nice. So, curious (since I need to do landscaping on my place being built next spring): How much did you get quoted to get a putting green put down if you hired someone?

i agree... I think it's an overblown stereotype. But hey, 3GR thrives on stereotypes. :thief:

not cheap. For 140 sqft, I was quoted anywhere from 1800-2500. Decided to just do it myself. $1100 materials in total.

Putting green is a bit more complicated than just doing regular grass looking artificial turf. It takes quite a bit of work. Plus, I'm sure the more you get, economies of scale come into play.

a friend of mine is super busy running his personal business everyday and he has two dogs, so the grass in his yard is completely fried and he doesn't want to maintain it, due to his schedule. He is getting artificial turf put in, and it will cost him $5500.... And his yard is tiny.

whn I said it would take 20k to do our house, that's me doing it alone. Otherwise, add 8-10k on top of that.

I don't remember how to do it.

I remember last time it was enabled, there was some way that you could do something and then start typing a user name and it would start self-populating the rest of the name.

There was also the brute force dummy way () where you had to add tags manually. [ utag ] and [ / utag ]

@justnspace

Oh, but you need to have notifications enabled in your settings. You might have those off because we broke you last time.

Yeah, it's done via the tags and then the user's name, I believe.

I don't use it often. For example:

Shit's legit. Especially because I smoked the birds to perfection.

Mozz and provolone, smoked gouda, red onion, banana peppers, smoked chicken, cilantro, spicy bbq base and ranch drizzle.

I've never grilled a pizza. I've done homemade flatbread though. Same thing more or less.

You need to have the notifications turned on to get a PM when someone tags you.

To tag someone, the only way I know is with the [ utag ] [/ utag ] (without the spaces).

I swear there was some way to get the interface to start autopopulating the user name when you were typing. But I am not good with computer so I don't know.

EDIT: @Yumcha

Wow. So after using the Yumcha utag, I clicked on it to make sure it went to the right place. And I saw that picture of your sea-cucumber.

I guess since everyone called it a sea-cucumber, I always imagined it was green.

But that thing actually looks pretty tough!

Nice ride Yummy!
