Hey guys just checking in. I'm alive. It's warm enough so this shed provides ample shelter from the rain. J and his wife had dinner inside and tossed some scraps out in the garbage can which I promptly scavenged for. His wifi reaches out here fine so I have everything I need. The sprinklers are on a schedule so i have to time my showers very well.


Time to get some shut eye. this riding mower of his makes for a comfy bed buddy

Well boys I made it home. I got in at 3AM. Tired but wired. Going to type and

From the start...

My first flights plane couldn't make it because of weather. So they had an empty come from elsewhere for us. We took off an hour later our original takeoff. My layover in Charlotte was an hour so still possible... So they rush us but we are still late. Well turns out my connecting flight was literally two gates down. I caught it like running movie style as they are closing the door. Win. So I got into Orlando only 30 minutes late or so. 12:30. Cool.

It was really great to see my friends. My best friends family really. His little brother was always that...little. Now he's not. He was kind of excited to see me. Funny how you ignore younger people like that. The kid musta thought I was cool back in the day. There was a bunch of family talk to exchange so I drank half a bottle of rum with him on the porch and went to bed around 3. Lol

Anyway....morning, bank, and the car pulls in.

Alejandro (Alex) was a pretty cool dude really. Much younger than I expected. He was pretty much, damn near, EXACTLY what cul0 painted him to be.

So I look the car over real quick, he explained the giant book of documents/manuals/receipts and then he got his check. I drove him back to his office instead of making his wife pick him up.

Ate a good breakfast, said fuck the DMV (I brought my own plate ), and taped her up. Setup my phone with the car for bluetooth streaming. Left at 11.

Well BT streaming eats battery and apparently the 2013s MMi come with the old 30 pin connectors not lightning like the 14+. Makes sense. So I couldn't charge my phone like I thought I'd be able to. So I literally managed 10% since probably 2PM by turning the phone off and only checking every few hours. That way if something happened I'd be able to call.

Other than that the drive was great. I went up 95 instead of 75. I didn't really hit any traffic anywhere. Rained off and on all the way up but never much or for long. I stopped a bit when I needed a stretch or gas/food. My knees hate being in the car for long periods of time.

Other than that fuck you Carolinas. I swear to God only 20 miles of those highways weren't under construction.

Now onto the car...



It's near flawless. You can tell he didn't do much other than an occasional wash. I see wax residue in every nook and cranny. OMG my ocd I WANNA GO DO IT IN THE DARK RIGHT NOW. Anyway, no chips or big scratches that I spotted (it was covered in pollen or something when I got it) so after a wash and in good light I'll see. BUT.....when he bought the car he paid Audi $800 for a ceramic coating. It was really evident when I applied the tape. It was a bitch. On the TL good blue tape STICKS. This was not at all. I had to fix it every stop. So that's pretty awesome. It does look glossy as fuck under the mess so if they used a good coating that's a huge plus. I'll look all through the documents today and see if I can find what was used. Wheels look mint too.

The cars pretty damn quick. I LOVE the sports diff. I enjoyed raping the mountain curves today. I'll make a car talk thread about the car tomorrow and give more details and take some pics after a wash. There's like a quarter inch of bug guts on there right now.

Guys, Johnny snores so loud even from outside we had to put on the DIY channel on like volume 55 to drown it out. I may try putting the mower on the other side of the lawn tonight to see how we fare. I never imagined that hosting someone would be so much work.

Well guy flaked on buying the wheels. Wife said just save up after we get the flooring done in the house and buy the wheels and keep the sport wheels as back up.
