I like that one too. I usually use bar soap. But since this is on sale, I'll pick one up..

Flip, get the 3100psi one from Costco. It's better to have more pressure and dial it down, then not enough pressure in general, especially if you're looking to do some yard maintenance

For washing your car, 2700 is more than enough

I'll be splitting it in half, so it won't cost me that much.

I think the first thing I will do is pressure wash the patio so I can reseal... Then the garage, because I want that Epoxy stuff J has on his garage. It looks so nice....

Someone sent me the one from HF...

Only certain things I will buy from HF.

My wife said I can't buy a new jack yet.

Either my wife or my parents are buying me one for Father's Day, I bet.

She actually told me not to buy anything until the middle of the month.

Actually- edit that remark.

Do you know if it was latex paint or oil paint on your deck? Also, pressure washer can really damage the wood and splinter the fuck out of it.

Your best bet is to sand it down. Shitty, I know, but true.

The HF jack I had bought for $89 is on sale for $59 until end of June...
that would have sufficed...
but since I got my old one working AND have the other TWO I'm good now.

Kevin, you quick on the draw, bruh. Nice.

2700 is too much power to wash the car with a foam gun IMO. You need an electric one...butthen the electric ones aren't strong enough for concrete really.

Oh and do yourself a favor and get one of these...

I dropped that idea of the foam gun. I talked to a guy locally who has one. He said it's cool, but he wouldn't buy it. He only has it because his friends bought him one.

Is Chad busy jerking it in rapid succession so he can last a little bit Friday morning when he takes deliver of his new car?

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you guys had an awesome memorial day weekend!

The wife and I also did "a thing" yesterday.

We saw a 2012 ML63 on ebay. It was a 15 mins away from the house, so we decided to go and check it out. It's the end of the month, i'm sure they want to push to sell, so hey why not.

We get there and part of my OCD goes into over drive nick picking everything I see wrong with the car. The other part of me (11 years as a master certified tech) going through it very carefully.

I immediately noticed that one tire out of four happened to be different. The rest of the tires were pretty much toast.. The front brakes had about 3,000 miles left. Rear bumper had a scuff mark with paint missing, the front bumper got curbed pretty bad, massive ding in the door and other misc things that didn't settle with me. Another thing I caught was some used a small flat head to pry the front bumper off from the left side. It messed up the plastic and ended up chipping the paint off.

Here is where my OCD flared. The vehicle was absolutely filthy. It was fucking gross inside and out. I get in to test drive this beast and the TPMS light is on. I look back at the sales man and tell him seriously dude? You guys couldn't bother to properly inspect this vehicle? Drove great, a lot of power, but I didn't feel it was me.

We get back to the dealership and start the playing around game. Back and forth bullshit for 40 mins. They offered me $10,500 for my wifes optima. Granted I knew the number would be low, but not insulting low. Still on the fence on what car to sell. Either the TL or the optima. IF the TL goes, the replacement would be pretty much used as a weekend or trip vehicle. If the wifes car goes, the replacement is her new daily.

Anyway, long story short. I told them I wasn't too happy with the overall condition and the way they presented the vehicle to me and the wife. Silver isn't a color I REALLY want, I'd love to get a white one. The front bumper being off in color made me wonder if anything happened before. The damages seemed very excessive for the year.

What helped them understand me better, I told them I brought you my wifes car which is a 2011 with 35K. It is in pristine condition and needs nothing. It's the type of vehicle I can sell and not worry about it ever coming back to haunt me. I said it's embarrassing to see this Mercedes in it's condition and expect me to settle. Next year seems like a better time to find one.

You just gave us the best foreplay ever then said you weren't in the mood to splack right now.

I seriously thought that story would end with you getting the suv dirt cheap...

Just another sign that it's easy to buy, but a bitch to maintain. Even if you are OCD, I think eventually the dollars spent would make you regret it, sooner than later.

Glad you didn't buy that POS. Sounds like it was traded in and they just want to flip it. Can't even clean it or take care of minor shit like inflating tires? Fuck that noise.

I'd also hate to see the cost of brake replacements for an AMG vehicle. Likely not cheap at all.

Don't get me wrong, the price was great 48K minus 10,500 for her trade in and us putting more down as a payment. The payments with my credit would have been perfect. I don't want to spend money if it doesn't settle right. Honestly, it's better to wait. The right one will eventually come around.

Now just sitting in a hard place on which car to unload. I love my TL and invested stupid money into it, but It's worth shit. I also love my wifes car but she needs an SUV for winter here. She landed a better job which is about a 40 mile drive each way. My wifes safety means the world to me. Nervous as fuck her using an ML63 Jesus fucking help me, but it would be bad ass in the snow.

It's like IMPOSSIBLE to keep in contact with my rep.

I had preapproval, I have final approval. She sent me paperwork Thursday night like 4:50. Spelled his name wrong. It's fucking Alejandro. That's a COMMON name IMO! I spelled it out for her and she still fucked it up. Instead of fixing and sending it to me quickly, I had to scan in the incorrect paperwork and send back. So she fixes is at like 2PM last Friday. I had the day off. No printers or scanners at home so I had to go to OfficeMax to sign and send to the seller to sign and then email back. Great. Everything is in. No word from her. So I go in on lunch yesterday, at 1:45, on my own accord, to make sure she had what she needed. Nope, I need a legit overnight address for Audi on the sellers payoff statement. No, sorry bish they don't do that. So I called Audi and got the actual address. Nope, it needs to be on official letterhead. THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Look it's like the same exact address just one is a PO one is a street number. So I sent that info yesterday at 2 and never heard back. Emails, calls, nothing. I took my lunch two hours early today to go in and see what the fuck is happening. Like, I'm out of time. My flight is in like 30 hours. THIS HAS TO HAPPEN BITCH!

So it's all done but she needs the paperwork for me to sign. So I have to go back in like an hour. But they are mailing Audi the payoff check. MAIL. How the hell is that going to be resolved by 9AM Friday?!?!?!?!?!

what a shitty bank.. sounds like you need to find a new one after this shitty ordeal. When I bought my TL, I used a Credit Union and i went online for pre-approval. Got it. Then got what was basically a blank check that I just wrote out and gave to dealer. A little more paperwork and insurance coverage sent to bank and I was done.

Wow...
my transaction with USAA was no more than a 10 minute call and whether or not to pay the guy directly to his account or to mail him a check. I said account...then they said I'm paying more than his payoff, I said let him keep the difference to avoid them giving it to me to just have to turn around and hand it to him.

Super easy!

Hope it gets resolved, Chad...I'd DEFINITELY contact your credit union or a plan b line of finance just in case.

Gus, you nut job. Your wife needs a safe car, just get a AWD SUV and trade her Kia in and call it a day. Your car is not going to get sold for peanuts. I'm not really asking you and I know I'm too far to physically choke you out or anything, but there'll be dire consequences if you do it.

Irony, we accidentally got a deal on a AWD Cadillac SRX that my wife loves. Sure feels good knowing she has AWD going to the grocery store in 90 degree weather.
