oh off topic....is that even a neceassary statement on this thread....my chrome browser keeps crashing shockwave flash when im on the forum. anyone else have this issue? i have tried all the fixes online but just ended up putting an Internet Explorer extension in chrome specifically for the forum.

guys, you obviously don't know who I am, but if you did know who I am, you wouldn't act the way you do to me. Unfortunately for you, I can't tell you who I am, but suffice to say that if you did know who I am, I'd be unforgettable.

 

Guy is incredible... Our TL engines, whether the 3.2 or 3.5, aren't known for consuming oil... so either he has a decent leak somewhere, or his engine has been bagged on for some time, with blow by occurring now.

 

so he's done the unpossible? He made our car into something that it's not!!!

or human error and didnt fill to fill line to begin with.

just so many variables.

I was taught to check my oil constantly.
for me, it aint a big deal to check once a week, etc...

for others, they wont check until something bad happens. and then its already too late....


I knew he was low oil the minute he mentioned couldnt go over 5K as there have been reports of low oil + no vtec

Agreed. I check mine regularly also- takes 30 seconds and it gives peace of mind. While yes, a number of things can cause oil consumption, at least in my limited experience, the engines in the TL haven't been known for consumption. At least for the 3G that is.

Who knows what is going on with his car though. Like you said- Not enough info one way or another.
