^im at 10 too, your right, still a tad too bouncy. But its not bad. takes bumps pretty good. I took it on a nice back roads rip yesterday! But I'm going to tighten it up and try 6 this week

i also found when i had my super streets that if you run rear at 2 softer than the front it's a pretty good setup. the rear is where the comfort comes in while the front is the handling aspect....try running 6 front and 8 rear, that might be a good balance for you.
when i drive alone i do 4/4 and i really like how firm it feels when driving.

yea it gets fairly bouncy after 10 or so. i run 8 f/r when my wife is in the car and it's pretty good for a comfortable setup (not that the stiff settings are uncomfortable). for comparison the 10/10 on the flex is what 14/14 felt on the super street setup i used to have.

Honestly.
It's a little overly complicated dealing with adjusting height. Before you just adjust the spanner using the wrenches on the SA, and count the number of threads to match everything up. But with these flex, you have to worry about preload separately and measuring thay properly, then spinning the entire threaded body to adjust height and use a tape measure to make sure it's all the same.
It takes longer to adjust height and is more complicated that's for sure. But I can't speak to comfortability yet, since I haven't had them dialed in to the right stiffness. I love that they come with top hats though, big selling point for me. If I can get better with the adjustments or learn some tricks, I'm sure they end up being worth the cost.

now when i adjust height i check the preload about 5x before putting the wheels back on haha

Not having an opinion until you dial in is also a testament in my eyes, as I knew immediately that I was in love with the ride with the SS/H&R street performance.
Definitely not bashing but was wondering if my assumptions were correct. I'm sure they're great for you guys...but I'll definitely be having mine repaired, or going with the H&R IF my SS ever blow.
If it makes you guys feel any better...I didn't realize the difference and adjusted height with preload on my RSX. Harsh ass ride and never fully got it dialed in or understood how it worked until the buddy club on my s2000 .

There's a thread on them on AZ...but no long term reviews.
If I do go that route...I'll add something, but with the way the SS have been feeling lately (set at 3/4" higher than maxed that they'd been at)...it'll be a long time from now!!

Sounds like maybe they were TSX aspecs?
Those waffles look good on so many cars. I always felt like the 2g was too grandpa for me, but that pic with those wheels looks really great.
6 and 8 you say for the FLEX? I need to try that out. Took my car on another road trip and was really annoyed with how bouncy it was on dips.

no they were the original a spec wheels that came on it: these 2nd gen A-specs were only sold in Canada
And yea man I think you'll like 6 and 8. I was at 10 and I agree that shit was too bouncy and annoying as fuck driving around town. I think 4 and 6 would work too but I really like how it drove at 6 and 8, and I was pushing it hard lol

Haha awesome. I definitely need to stiffen them up. Maybe today since it'll finally be a nice day without rain.
Those wheels are pretty boring on that car. It's like a night and day difference with the type-s wheels. Very nice and more aggressive. Much less grandpa feeling lol

I honestly was never a fan of this particular blue on the TL, but damn it looks beautiful.
The only thing I would suggest is some sort of rear trunk lip, it sort of looks unfinished to me without it. I would say type-S, but I think the CF heeltoe one would look awesome, and tie in the other CF wrapped areas really well.

The cf on the A-spec was something I thought about for a while. I was just going to do gloss black for the car including the roof but elected for the CF touches

there is a trunk spoiler on my car
Its just the base lip spoiler so its not as pronounced as the Type S one (which is my favourite) but I'm just going to stick with what I have as I just had this one painted. And to be 100% with you I'm not a huge fan of the heeltoe CSL, dont get me wrong its a beautiful piece but seems a little big to me compared to the OG version

Installed a new bumper cowl thingy. Detailed my engine bay today. Its about as good as she's gonna look lol. Took the hood liner off and cleaned all up in there as well
Nice and wet. Just waiting on a badge for the manifold plate
