Honestly, she's weird about sleepovers with the baby, I guess cause it's so up in the air whether or not she'll sleep through the night and then we sleep across the entire house with a monitor and the passenger bedroom is right next to hers...I personally wouldn't mind, but let's see how it works out, I wish she had met you last meet cause then you wouldn't be a stranger (danger).

Chad, I wanted to buy a 2013 S4 a while back. The wife talked me out of it because she wants us to get a 2013 ML63. I'm hung up on this RS 5 tho..

I was thinking about selling the TL in 2017 and making a choice from there. The only issue, the TL is worth peanuts now. After 9 years of ownership, I feel like it's been a good run. I'm like J at this point. I hate to sell my TL to some kid who will end up wrecking the TL or doing some tacky as fuck crap to it. I guess at the end of the day, money is money.

 

Gus...lol...look at me, I sell my car to someone after 7 years and end up in another car that is identical that I have no plans to sell ever now.
I made a friend or 2 out of it though...texted with him, and he got back to SC safely this weekend! Funny enough the car transaction was the smallest part of our whole interaction...went out for beers twice, hung out, went to an S2000 meet...met an old friend of his that complimented condition of the car. It was awesome!

 

The RS5s are sick man. Just out of my league. Get one I can be your little brother!

Remember though that while those v8s sound amazing...it's pretty much stretched to the max unless you put a $12k+ supercharger on it. You could throw $2k at a S5 and be just as if not faster than the RS stock (in a straight line). That's why I want that platform or a N5x from BMW...tunability.

Plus they are DSG only...you know that right?

And it will be hard to sell the TL but ultimately you gotta move on at some point...

 

Glad it worked out man. I'd hate to sell the TL due to all the work and $$ invested. I barely drive the car. I would hope to find the same type of buyer, but I highly doubt it. A friend of mine asked me on Instagram if I was selling the car. He's out in NYC. I know he would take very good care of the car. I didn't engage the comment of selling.

 

I get it, trust me. I wanted the S4 so I can still find one in a manual. Manuals are a dying thing now. The S4 would have been another money pit to make it the way I want it. The ML63 for my wife and I is a better choice. We can take it anywhere and have the fun factor with it. I use a ML350 for everyday, and have grown to love the ride quality and just about go anywhere you want. The TL and optima are lowered and FWD. They are practical for anything other than winters and on roads that are fairly decent. 2 doors are great in theory, but not so much so when you need the space. It looks like the ML63 is going to be it sometime next year. They keep dropping in price, so by 2017 they won't be that terrible.

Besides, I really want to buy something where I don't want to drop money to make it "better". The ML63 pretty much comes with everything you'd want.
