Not even two weeks ago you said you hate the styling of the new Mustang. Now you're saying you love it. dafuq? You've done a complete 180 on that car.
Anyway, I think the new mustang interior is very nice. yes, it has hard plastics, but consider the price point of the Mustang vs an Audi. The styling of the interior is very nice... the materials... well, like you said... lol.
I'm looking forward to my future Mustang. and then I will mow every pedestrian down that I see!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha haaaa!!!!
I didn't say I didn't like it. It just has it's flaws. I like the tails but don't really like the massive oval trunk shape. The front end has grown on me but it's still a bit...bulbous. When I squatted down and looked at the lines from the side for a while though they are nice. Those humps on the fender/hood are aggressive.
If judging by looks I'd give the mustang a 6.5/7. The S5 a 9.5. However tear away the sheet metal and the Mustang is a beast for the price.
I wanted to not be blind to one vehicle. And I couldn't come up with many I'd want in my price range. S5/Q50S/Mustang? So I thought I'd at least go test drive one.
also consider that the S5 has been out in its current shape for a very long time. It's about due for a refresh and you know the new body will be out of this world, as any Audi is when it comes out.
You sure you want the old body when a new one comes out?
but again, crazy pricing...
you get a LOT for your money with the mustang, Chad.
I test drove the "new 5.0" 3 times back in 2010 when the 2011's started showing up. I'll own one eventually...even if it's a fixer uppper. Now that the newer ones are out, I don't like the old 4.6's at all...but do love the 2013's and up...
New body style...OOF...hard to not love that, imagine when roush/steeda put together a lip kit to bring the nose on the front down and more substantial to take care of the visual overbite.
That car is amazing to look at...AMAZING.
I love it.
and to be fair, you just said you weren't sold on design from some angles IIRC...you never said no way no how would you ever get one.
Plus, let's face it...we're a bunch of guys that think that what everyone else is doing is fuking stupid, unless we start doing it too and then it's the best thing ever.
Off the top of my head:
roof spoilers
window spoilers
aftermarket wheels
tl type s
the list goes on for stuff I once knocked and then tried and loved.
It's mainly the rear end that I don't really like J.
The fender to door to fender lines are also amazing. That's what I was trying to say earlier.
What is that? Comp orange? Edit: Ruby?
Competition orange. I really like that color. I'd prefer it with white racing stripes, but that's not available. I think I'd maybe get it without any stripes and then add white ones on my own after. There are plenty of oem/aftermarket options for stripes
after doing some reading, it turns out the front end of the GT350 is wider than the regular mustang. They utilize different fenders on the front to compensate
That's a bit simplistic. You need to account for firing order, but in general an I-5 is a bit smoother than an I-4. It has some higher second and third-order vibrations than an I-4 but it's not as violent as you may be making it out to be.
