Fort McMurray is the heart of oil production here in canada, with many major oil/natural gas production projects happening all around it. Everyone has been evacuated, hospital evacuated, etc.

Forest fire has gone bananas and with the extreme dry weather, 30C weather (that's like Miami weather) and lots of wind... shit got out of hand fast. The army is now being called in to assist

 

TB, was just talking with a co-worker about it this morning.

Doesn't help that people are cut off from Edmonton and have to head North/West/East and there really isn't much there.

I assume there will be a lot of bulldozing going on......wonder how many billions it's going to cost to rebuild Fort Mac......?

Fire is just nuts. Some neighborhoods were severely burned with 80% of homes levelled. Hotel was levelled. Fire jumping across the highway... one women was saying the thermometer in her car was reading well over 50C. That's like over 120F I think.

A few years ago, there was a gym I was going to and there was exactly that- girls with a shit ton of makeup on and coordinated outfits. Not just like "oh these shorts and tshirt have the same color" but more so designer name outfits that they had specific shoes for, etc.

I thought the gym was for getting your sweat on.

 

I looked because it's the only Acura I'd consider. The s2000 the only Honda. I just wanted to see what X in Audi could buy in Acura.
