So, thoiboi and deer meat are the only people who might have seen that on FB, but I got in a car crash last week on Wednesday.

I had the chance to go back to the garage on Saturday morning because they gave me a loaner with a burnt out rear left signal light () and asked about the estimated cost of repairs. ~$3500. My insurance has not answered/got the info yet, but I almost want them total my car now.

Oh well.

Like I said, I kinda want them to total it. If they don't total it, I'm stuck with a car that was half rebuilt sorta shit, it will lose some resale value and I need to do the TB this summer... I can buy another similar TL for around $7k (I won't, but could) so I'm not sure if $3.5k is enough for them to total it.

Amen!

I don't mind it though, going back to school is strange but it feels good at the same time. Going to get out of this job in record time. Following an obligatory class to get a little piece of paper telling me I can work in the security field. Even if you're going to work on computer shit in the security field, you need the same paper as if you were going to be a parking lot cop since 2008 in QC.

Got that tire rack mounted up this weekend...Betty liked how it looks so much she wants me to get another one and get the wheels off the wooden shelves so we can use that for other things.

Which we should.

PB, take the TL to a more expensive shop, so that they give you a higher estimate for repair. I bet if they crack the 4k mark, they might write it off then. Then again, ask your insurance if they can write it off. You got nothing to lose

But make sure you buy another Acura, and hurry back here, or else

If Acura buy a TL-S.... If not but an Accord sport especially since you're in Canada you get all the extras that us in the US don't get.

Too late now that the shop has been decided upon. Can't change shops unless I have a valid reason. I have yet to hear from my insurance about whether they will total it or repair it.

Likely won't be getting another Acura right now. One because it's too short notice to look for a car that's decent and two because I've been wanting to go for a G35/37 07+.
The interior is fugly compared to the TL but what it lacks in refinement it has in bombastic noise, as we all know.

So I'll get a Corolla CE or something to hold me off for a moment while I car shop.
Why a Corolla CE? Because these cars last forever and nothing is electronic on them so return to first point of them lasting forever. You can literally buy the first you see and it'll be fine.

I think there was someone around here that was looking to offload a black TL...

I think you'd know the pedigree of the car.

I had moon shadow grey. I must have had the LE then. It did what it needed to. Maintenance was cheap as hell. I was just about to do an oil change that weekend but the accident happened on Thursday.

Sad to hear. That's nearly the only way they go out. Was that the one with rear discs or drums?

What's to hate about it? The amazing 1.8L that gets you like 1201920 mpg? The 15 inches tires that cost next to nothing? Its everyday bland style that would never get it stolen??

And the XRS model (too expensive, I'm buying it cause it's cheap!) doesn't look half bad.
