Opinions needed-choose wheels for this TL

Hey guys. Im new here! Just picked up my first TL 07 base. Thinking about changing the wheels out. The color is abyss/royal blue pearl. Please link a set of wheels you think would look good. Color choice is up to you. Thanks!

In all seriousness, take a look in the photograph gallery. You'll find photos of almost every possible model of wheel on a 3g TL. We don't know what sort of wheel you like. I honestly suggest getting either a set of TL-S rims or 18" A-Specs, they look the best.

I agree with Marco - but i'm not a fan of the Type S waffles, or the Aspec wheels, that's just me, but, at the end of the day, it's your taste and style that counts, the new wheel and tire thread is a good thread to review, lots of reviews posted on there

Xxr 527's in brushed aluminum. I think they would contrast very well on blue pearl. XXR 527 Forged

White wheels on a dark blue car are a bit much, but everyone is different. Do you want to look 15, 35, or 55?

Yes, just use the plus system for your tires. In fact, the Type-S comes with 18's, and they are the most preferred size wheel on Acurazine for sure. 19's cause you to either run rubberband tires, or forget about the OEM OD.

Those will definitely work, although they're a bit skinny.

I'm still partial to Ronjons, if you can still find them.

I like those, and think they'd look great but I don't think they're wide enough either, like VisualEchos said. The same wheel would be better in 9" or even 8.5". You'd be happier and would have a larger range of tire widths to use.

I think they will look great. I kept trying to link the tirerack page that shows an Abyss blue TL with those wheels but it keeps reverting to an '07 Caliber. Why are you looking at Caliber wheels?

Man, you are a bit new huh? No worries, we've all been there.

Yes, you will need new tires, but the tire you choose depends somewhat on the wheel you buy, and what look and performance you're ultimately after.

I really do think you should visit this link, start from the newest post and go backwards.

You have to buy a part for the first time because OEM ride height is not designed to be adjustable, but after that it's just labor. The part is usually "coilovers" but there are other options like Koni's adjustable spring seat.

Like these? I need to get them refinished (and repaired) and at least one of them is bent from the craptastic pot holes in Tampa. They are just collecting dust in the garage.

for some ideas on lowering - I am running 24" from ground to fender lip in front, and 24.5" in the rear, on BC coils - wheels are 18x10 +25

I think silver would look fine, but personally, I like the darker contrast.

I actually had my 8.5's powdercoated darker:

car looks great! Did you get the decal for the bumper cover from endlessrpm? Saw it on their site and was curious how accurate the size/dimensions are with the indent.

Haha well that's good to hear because I'd likely eff up the first one. Looks good though. I've been trying to find something in a mint green to go with my accents, but I might just order it in white and see if I can paint the decal or something.
