I agree, that was my biggest debate. Its already a black car and thats why I went with a pretty light smoke. I absolutely hate blackout tinting. In the end im really happy with this though. The stock red taillights say grandma car to me, this looks mean, especially at night.

Question, because I haven't researched...is there the ability to dremel the tails open to modify from the inside?
Kinda like the red stripes style I ended up with when I opted to mess with the base reds rather than the type s or 08 base like most of the other modified styles?
You can create something unique without looking like you smoked the tails.
Just an idea...you do great work, just my personal taste as far as not liking plastidipped wheels and smoked heads/tails from the outside anymore.
As an example...these are boring base reds, with the interior lenses smoked and bottom reflector covered with plastidip

meh, I've seen better...
but seriously,
Thanks!
They are base reds with modified internals. After the ROCKSTAR tails, I was fuckin around and decided that since they were considered a "throw away pair" when nobody wanted their pristine OEM base reds...I created the SUPER REDS and eventually what my wife called the RED STRIPES...I didn't want to be in the business so I basically marketed it and pointed people to Bruce, who happened to be a nice guy and had a large quantity of base reds to mod since people let him keep them before.

RED STRIPES, which I fell in love with and sold all my other tails for.

OK, why do I like THIS picture too?
I love my Amp'd Emblem logos. I've got that red one on the back and the white one on the front.
