easiest way to dramatically improve them is to wrap in red film. Can have a tint guy do it, or do it yourself if you are good with vinyl wrap. Make sure to leave reverse cutouts as you will fail inspection otherwise and have to remove them.

Thanks Booya I will contact a tint shop around the area. I think it Would be easier to show them a picture of Potz tail light instead of describing it.

Think i paid $50-75 for my tint guy to vinyl my tails without having to deal with core swaps or any of the BS of removing tails and modding them...
#622
sure, but they should know and have red vinyl. Potz had the reverse cutout more elegantly done than mine (little horizontal rectangle) I had my cutout follow the reverse light section of the tail light, so the cutout is bigger. If i had it to do over again I'd follow potz lead on the cutout design.

the way you painted it looks much better than the vinyl, and both look much better than stock (especially 09-11 w the grey housings)

if you have ever taken your tail lights off you would know it literally takes 5 mins per side.. it takes longer to take off a wheel..
i painted mine.. cost me about 15 bucks in paint and clear coat it.
i tried vinyl. didnt like how it was not as glossy as i wanted it to be..

i would recommend getting the axle back and then doing full custom exhaust. thats the cheaper route
