Xxr 530
I have the R40 project kics (knock offs) lug nuts and everyone said they would damage my wheels. They are VERY close and I had to shove tape into the keys to keep them only going on half of the lug nut. So the way yours are designed I think you will have issues. You either need a lug nut with a key that goes inside the lug or lug nuts with the nut at the END of the lug nut like the project kics
Lol well his has the type s front bumper and 07-08 mirrors so I think his has TPMS. I don't want a color really. Just want black or gunmetal anodized cap or something to go over the ugly metal valve stem.

Damn how are you able to deal with the TPMS malfunction on your MID? If it was just the small light I could deal with that but the MID turning yellow and having to be cleared to see anything every time would bug the shit out of me.
Can anyone please confirm if this will fit?
08 TL type S
XXR 530's 18x8.75 +20 and 225/40-18 Continental DWS Tires
TEIN Springs - STech Springs
Would any other modifications be necessary?
thanks

Now if you are planning on going lower, than you need to roll your fenders. if you look at my post on page 40, you can compare. I dropped my car 2'' and will need to roll my fender.
I have the exact same specs and Continental DWS 225/40-18. You need to roll your fenders. I wouldn't put these rims on without going at least 2" drop. They just don't look as good and you aren't showcasing the concavity of the wheels as well either if you're not at least eliminating the wheel gap.

The S-techs give you 2 inch drop in the front with less in the rear like 1.4 I believe.
If you want to get more concave instead of 8.75 you need 9.75 or greater.
Overall I think they look good without being slammed. Obviously I would like the rear lower

Yeah i have 225/40 on 18x8.75 right now and im rubbing everywhere haha, but im neither rolled or pulled, and im dropped by about 2 inches so, i guess its bound to happen. I plan on getting 215 when these tires die on me, so if your going for an agressive drop and your too lazy to roll fenders get smaller tires
like I said, I AM NOT DONE. this is just the preview for everyone to see what it looks like as a progression. I only mounted the one side but I am still on stock wheels. I have a stuck perch on my coilovers so i cannot go lower. i feel an unwanted vibe from you.. js
I'm totally new when it comes to wheels. I have a stock '04 TL 6MT and am looking to get some XXR 530s. I have the stock TL wheels with Continental DWS, have put about 30,000 miles on the tires. I'd like to sell them and get some 18" tires. A few questions:
1. How much could I reasonably expect to get for the wheels and tires?
2. My car is at stock height, though hopefully in the future I will be able to drop it. What XXR 530 wheel should I be looking at? The 18x9.75?
3. Will I need to roll the fender?
4. Will I need a camber kit?
I apologize for all the newb questions. Thanks for any help.

Assuming I go for 18x8.75 +20 with a 225/40/18, at stock height why will the wheels poke out? How does lowering the car fix this? I've tried reading back through the last few pages of this thread but can't find a picture that shows this. Does rolling the fender pull it out so it would be more flush with the wheel? Thanks again
Yes at stock height you will indeed have poke. Lowering the car induces natural negative camber which brings the top of the wheels in under the fender a little bit to reduce the "pokey" look. I was at stock height and they looked like crap.

Thursday i am going to get that perch unstuck and Friday, i am going to roll my fenders.

Cust0mx, now if you look at my pictures above, i drop my car 2 inches with coilovers and i am still sitting pretty high. my rims are 18x9.75+20 with 215/35/18 tires. i have not roll my fenders yet. My wheel is literally poking out because of the height i am and it looks unordinary. the more you drop, the more of your top wheel concave inwards.
I want to avoid rolling the fenders if at all possible, but it seems like it's a must if lowering the car and getting these wheels. Am I wrong?
either way, if you want to look "hellaflush" you gotta roll the fenders
i drop mine 2'' with the xxr 530 and this is what it looks
If I were to drop the car 2" and get Tein Basis coilovers, would a camber kit be recommended as well?
