George, the aspecs look awesome!!

 

I got the 8" ones. I am planning to powdercoat these to a gunmetal color similar to the gunmetal aspec rims

Who's Tyler? I'd like to see his powdercoated rims, I've been looking up powdercoated aspec rims all day trying to make sure I am happy with the color. I want everything to be perfect cuz I drove 2200 miles for these rims last weekend lol

the most i drove was a 500-600 mile round trip for the following:

Exchange base bumper for base bumper with type S lip
Exchange trunk with wing spoiler for trunk with lip spoiler
front camber kit
rear camber kit
progress sway bar

he was an awesome dude to deal with....he also helped me bleed my brakes....i mean it was just awesome and i got all that for a steal....

About the trunk spoiler and base bumper. Which base did you get? the rear?

 

furthest i've traveled was about 400 miles down to see Tyler and his buddy. got a CF hood and my rear fenders rolled. 14 hour round trip in one day...i was exhausted when i got home...but at least i had a pretty hood to look at.

I did have a trunk spoiler when i got the car and loved it until i lowerd the car....then i wanted to get the trunk lip....

i had the front aspecs and wanted the rear aspec.....the guy had a Type S aspec on a 05 base bumper....we just trader trunks and bumpers (that didnt sound good at all).....

but yeah all in all a great deal i got....and recently i traded bumpers again (oouch) and got the base aspec in the rear....

so right now I have front and rear base aspec pieces....

 

I thought you bought your rims gunmetal already? Anyways, what color did you tell the powdercoater to do? Like did you have to show them any pics of the color you want?

 

Yep, I had a set of the 18x8.5 Gunmetal but the original paint was faded and flaking off.

Since powder and paint codes are totally different, the owner of the powdercoat shop told me to get on powderbuythepound.com and look at all of the different colors.

What's your opinion on the powdercoat vs the original color? Is it really close? Also, how did you do the center caps? Are those powdercoated too?
