Regional/Chapter Leaders
Hey everyone. We are getting close to assigning Chapter Leaders for each area. Basically a Chapter Leader would be someone that you think would make a good representative of that city or chapter. I would like to know from you who you think could fill those shoes. For now, I or another mod in this area will be the regional leader, meaning we’ll be here to answer any questions you may have. Then eventually one of you would be once you get the hang of it.
We think it would benefit the community greatly having someone taking the lead in organizing social groups on the site for their local area. The Chapter Leader would have the ability to send mass PMs to their social group members, and also could potentially have thread/post moderating privileges in their respective regional section. So they can keep meet threads updated, stuck, then closed & removed after the meet has taken place.
I would think at this point you all would have someone in mind. If we have to take it to a vote then Ill come up with a poll or something to help make the decision easier.
So…..who do you think?

I would be willing to take responsibility for central NC. I've set up a few meets in the past and know quite a few members from surrounding states. The only problem is that I may be moving an hour south to attend school. While I love my car and the Acurazine community, I need to focus my attention on school.
ACCURATEin (Eric) maybe be willing to help set up things over in the western part of NC since he lives in Charlotte.

UNC Pembroke?
As for the Charlotte area (western NC, I guess), CCColtsIceHockey. We were talking about this tonight. He basically organizes the weekly Taco Mac nights, and is very active both on the forum and in the local car scene.

LOL, I'll second Tyler for central NC (Raleigh, RTP area). He did a great job with the meet in Charlotte. Ironic, I know, since he's in Cary, but his organization/planning skills and dedication are top notch. Aside: school an hour south of you?

Jason is a great candidate for the western NC side. I would nominate you but you keep talking about going the muscle car route soon and I have a feeling you'll care less about scheduling Acura meets when you have a V8 under the hood
^Cool deal on Campbell. I always forget about that school, even though I had a friend who went there
.
Well, at this rate, a new car is a long way off. But regardless of what I drive, I'll still be on AZ. Not only is it one of the best forums out there, but I've made some good friends through the site. I just don't have the interest in organizing stuff. I planned/help plan a couple of meets years ago...not something I care to do on a regular basis. As I've gotten older, I much prefer to just show up. Plus, Jason is much more into the local car scene than me. He knows everything that's going on, so it would be much easier for him to inform the AZ peeps of events. I bet the two of you could combine efforts and put together one hell of a NC meet

hmm, after giving it some thought I'll toss my hat in for Northwest Fla area and maybe Lower Alabama if no one in that area wants it.

I was coming in here to throw my name in the bag as I used to do a lot of this for some other forums and here as well when I lived up North but it appears my name has already been tossed in the bag. Been doing a little bit of it like Jack said down here with our Weekly TacoMac get together. I would be more than willing to help out.
I've met up with asianspec when I was in SoCal a few years back. He's on the board a lot and knows a lot of teh AZ people on both coasts. The thing is ... which chapter would he be a suitable lead contact?

Ok so it appears we have lots of people who are interested however we also have lots of places we have no one for yet. We are missing people for Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

I've met both Mike and other regional members on here. All were very nice. I am interested in being a regional leader.
