New to AcuraZine

What's up everyone?!? I'm new to this site and actually new to the whole Acura community. I just bought a 2008 TL-S in Alabaster Silver Metallic, it's completely bone stock with the exception of window tint and a K&N Air Filter which I have yet to put in. I just wanted to introduce myself and I hope that you guys will help me in my goals to make a sweet TL-S. I have some things in mind for the car but I haven't really fully figured out how to use the forum yet.

Thanks guys! I'll post some pics as soon as I get out of this 15 day waiting period. Any suggestions on a coilover setup? I was looking at the Tein SS's but then I saw the Tein Comfort Pro and it looks like it may be a better ride. I was also looking at the ATLP Catback exhuast, any thoughts on that vice Comptech?

TEIN Comfort Pro? Never heard of them. Most people go for the TEIN SS because they have the adjustable damper option. For those who don't want that much adjustability, some opt for the TEIN Basic coils. Also look at Megans.

I have the ATLP Base exhaust and I love it. Since you have the Type-S, you'll want to get the ATLP Quads. They are pretty hard to come by though.

CLtotheTL32, it's actually the comfort sport, don't know if it's new but it's supposed to add a more comfortable ride and as the the ATLP exhaust I would def want the quad, maybe I'll order it sometime sooner rather than later in case there in a long wait period.

you dont have to wait for the 15 days to post pics.

upload pictures to a photo sharing site, like photobucket.
once uploaded right click the image and click on copy image url.
then post url here

Congrats and welcome You should consider ditching the K&N, the factory filter flows plenty well.

LoveMyTL-S, thanks for the info, I'll def have to look into doing that!

06cmv6, it had just shy of 36,000 when I picked it up about three weeks ago. How many miles were on yours? What plans do you have for yours?

Everyone else...appreciate all the love coming from the Acura world!

WRXtranceformed, you really think the stock one is decent, I bought the K&N but have yet to put it in...you don't think it will make a difference?

icy2, these cars are rediculous, they are eye turners completely stock, it actually makes you feel really good to be driving around in one of these cars!

I picked one up on Ebay, then decided to sell it. For a street car running relatively stock power levels it's not going to make any difference and will probably allow more particulates into your engine than you're going to want for the long term.

It's your car though do whatever makes you feel comfortable! The stock paper filters are actually really well engineered and flow well.

No problem bro! That's what we are all here for. There's actually an active thread about air filters in the Performance Parts & Modifications section:

I've been hearing alot about the aspec kit, what exactly does that include? I thought that it would lower the car for you but I guess it doesn't since you still want to put coils on it. I'm looking at the Tein SS coilover package and the ATLP Quad Exhaust setup along with the J-Pipe, rims eventually as well but I really like the stocks

aspec kit includes a front lip, replacement side skirts, and rear lip.

front and rear are add-ons, and the sides you replace completely.

totally changes the look of the car, that would be at the top of my list if i were you. $760 shipped from vendor, AckTL05. send him a PM if you're interested.

How does this differ from the factory Type-S bodykit?

a lot of people get the a-spec kit and a-spec package confused....the kit is the oem body kit pieces like sharksbreath has shown you....the package includes quite a few other options (wheels, suspension, interior pieces, badge etc..)
