The OEM Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel for us NON Type-S Owners!

So I just got my car back from Acura today with my new Carbon Fiber steering wheel installed! I have already installed the other Acura aftermarket carbon fiber pieces for the rest of the interior, as well as the Type-S Carbon Fiber Shifter, so this really completes the look for the interior of the car. Comments welcome.

That is one shiny steering wheel... I thought it was 'dangerous' to shine the steering wheel??
Or is that just one of those rumors.

Have you considered putting CF over the silver/aluminum button thing area ma-bob?
Stering wheel looks good nonetheless

Trend, it's nice to see a Carbon Fiber style wheel for a 4 spoke wheel. I just got the same one for my '07 Type S and yours has more carbon fiber than my newer year's model. Mine does not have the Carbon Fiber insert on the lower portion of the wheel, like yours does!

Thanks! I will post a pic of the shift knob after work this evening.

I got the wheel for 380.00 and they charged me 110.00 to install it. I also got my A-spec kit from them for only 720.00, I feel like they have given me good prices for being an Acura dealer.

Yea it is, lol! I keep my car armor all'd reguarly and when I first got it the leather did not match the rest of the interior so I shined it up nice and good to match the remaining interior. I don't normally keep my wheel that way but in this case it looked funny until I did it.

I'm glad you commented Steven! I have been into carbon fiber on my cars for years, heck I even have a carbon fiber wedding ring, but I can say you have been my carbon fiber Acura inspiration for my car so regards. I did see your wheel and I was so impressed I had to go out and get one. Mine does have more Carbon Fiber as you mentioned.

Bayam0n- trendzero has already answered your question but I will add that the 04-06 ASPEC steering wheel had blue stitching on it (no wood or carbon fiber) and it was a little thicker.

hey trendzero- what is the part number for the shift knob? and also, when I punch in that part number for the steering wheel, it gives me a steering wheel for an 06, and it is the 3 spoke wheel and not 4?? might be a mistake on the dealers website, but what website did you go to to get yours, I don't want to get the wrong thing. THANX!

that is the right part number and I got it from my local Acura dealership. Also, I got the shift knob on ebay so I don't know the part number, but if you do a search you will find it quite easy.

No they don't it's just a different type of steering wheel than the 04-06. You can purchase the CF wheel for the type-S, which is mostly where I see that purchase happening on here, hence the title. The this wheel has more CF on it as well. The Type-S has the same CF piece on the top but a tiny piece on the bottom wheel arm.

LOL, yea it def. was at the time. But I needed to grease it up to match the rest of the interior. Out of the box the leather did not match the look of the rest of the car so I lubed it up to get it looking like it "went" with the rest of the interior. Now it looks much better!
