Nope, TL-P. I used richie's harness.

This is an interesting build, too bad this thread is riddled with bullshit, makes it harder to get to the good points lol.

I don't have the time or energy to go through and clean it up, def makes it harder to follow the build though

Sorry. If its easier I can always put together a No Bullshit Timeline in another thread. Think of it as cliff notes to my build

Let me know if thats ok.

but yeah if you start adding/using racegas, then yes you need to advance the timing yourself (not fully though, but enough that the computer will still be able to compensate for it, and not be outta "range"/throw a knock sensor code [cause it is looking for that ever so slight knock])
Yes, the stock ECU is great on a 3.2l, but it was never made to run a 3.6l at its best. Theres more power to get out of my motor with proper tuning.

Mine threw P0130, lean yesterday. I cleared it & set the UNICHIP to B, after 100 miles it has not come back. I am going to install the wideband AFR Monday & finish the FPR today.

why get a new ecu , and just go and get a AEM FIC, to be able to tune it

you know there are two options for the fic, there is a specific one for hondas and such

but then again you got the manual crank sensor, and trigger afterall, so different from the auto

The 30-1910 works for ALL J series V6, the 30-1911 is specific to the AP1 S2K.

Wait, there's someone running the AEM F/IC on a CL-S here?

Sorry, I just haven't seen anyone say that it actually works.

I thought E-Manage was the only thing working w/ our ECU. According to civic's comment, I don't think I'm the only one that thought that.

Are there any dyno's of CL-S members that were tuned on the F/IC?

i would say stock ecu, with an aem fic (and just use that too compensate for a larger motor/fuel demands, but also if you put larger injecters in at some point)

I was under the impression that the F/IC couldnt pick up the crank sensor either.

The e-manage is the tried and true method, but I don't like it. JPRoy was tuning on the F/IC but never posted an update past "it was wired wrong, I got it figured out though".

I got on it hard last night in second and third and when I came to a stop I smelled a shitload of unburnt fuel. Im going to go verify I dont have any leaky lines before I assume its running a bit rich. At WOT in high RPMs the AFR is right around 12.6, but when I let off the gas it drops down to around 10.4, then fully rich, then back to fully lean (off throttle completely).

Yeah, JPROY sent me his harness and I re-wired the BS P&P for him, LOL.

Fully lean with foot off the throttle is normal, the ECU shuts off both fuel and spark when there is a negative load on the engine....

Stock ECU + FIC since he has narrowband primay O2 sensor the fic can tune fuel in closed loop by modifying the O2 data being sent to the ecu.

Yea, I know fully lean is normal off throttle, but its going fully rich after a WOT run when I initially take my foot of the throttle, then it goes back to fully lean. Its fully rich for 2 seconds tops.

And the fuel I smelled last night was indeed a leak. A fitting off the FPR (that I replaced the o-ring on before) started leaking. I replaced the entire fitting this time. I dont want to deal with it again. It seems to be holding well now. Im keeping an eye on it though.

And an update with the wheels. My wheel guy had a hard time finding paint that matched, but he got it on Thursday. I should have them back and mounted mid-week.

Yes, the ECU will use the knock sensor to set the timing as close to knock as possible without actually knocking (This takes a little while for the ECU to learn).

Guess you can get the F/IC and fix that fuel issue now that we know there are multiple CL's on here running it...

still cheaper to buy a FIC, then buying another motor (and anyways it can be sold once the hacking becomes available)
