if you don't mind take a picture of the inside of the oil pan also, should kinda look like mine also

also that clean head looks to be the front bank btw, i bet the rear one does have some brown to it though, but that is more due to that rear bank running that much hotter then the front one (lack of airflow around that head in general)

That is the front, it was on the stand at an angle that put the back head underneath & I could not take a picture. I'll get better pictures Monday after I drop off the car.
I did not have my camera because he called me when I was at breakfast & said I needed to find the parts we need immediately, I ran to Honda & got them.

as said before the vehicle proably had been wrecked a couple of weeks ago, cause it takes time for the insurance and such to process the vehicle and get it to auction
but your salvage yard did only strip the motor out as said like a week or two ago, so that part is true
and btw i much rather have had a motor that has been sitting in the actual vehicle, upright, and with everything still attached, then to have it sitting in some warehouse on it's side, let alone probably getting handle roughly too

I saw it in the van, the only thing I needed to verify was miles because there was no battery so no Odo.
I am very happy to see this service info on the carfax as well as the one owner deal.
My mechanic made some calls and is looking for RL pistons so we can use my heads, if he can get them it will take another day to send the heads out to be rebuilt.

, and it takes more then a day to rebuild heads, and get them back on the block, but even then it should only be 2-3 days if everything is organized

I have no idea what you are trying to say.
Do you know what a hypocrite is? I did not say one thing and do another.
Judging by your immature posts (driving at insane speeds, driving on a bad tire etc) you have nothing to say I want to hear.
My avatar is funny, you may have all the missing vowels.
O, U, E.

Good for you you found another means of creating something from nothing.
I do not care that you live in your Mom's basement, in a diaper and have not seen the sun in years.
We already concluded that when you completed 3k posts in under four months.
How 'bout we return to the topic of this thread?

I just dropped the car off. He got the heads & pistons yesterday and the motor is ready to go in (minus the UR pulleys, and 09 IM from my motor)

I am trying to get back over there before he gets too far so I can get more pictures.

Motor is out. The tensioner on the Ody is different, we'll know after it's back in if there are issues can't see yet because need the AC compressor back in place.
The other issue is the coolant plumbing is a bit different coming out to the transmission cooler hopefully a three way coupling will solve it.
Empty bay.

New motor with header front

New motor with header rear

Old motor

Old motor TB full

Leaky old motor rear main seal

Nice pics.
e30cabrio: If you get a chance,
can you ask your mechanic what torque value he uses for the bolt on the 'Timing belt adjuster' when replacing that part? That's the bolt that pits200 had an issue with on his TB failure thread.
Number 7 on the link below:
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
The torque spec for that bolt is non-existent in the helms manual, I far as I can find. Thanks!! And good luck with your new motor.

I think Pitts or someone came up with 19lbs.
I'll ask.
I just spoke to Aj, my mechanic. The motor is in all seems well, if there is a problem with the belt the UR pulleys call for that I brought him he will order a number of belts until he finds the right one so that issue is solved.
Whew.

I cannot wait to get it back, the rear motor mount was on the verge of breaking so I had to run to Acura and get one, I'll get the 80A Urethane in it so it will be ready to go in long before this one dies.
in a couple weeks i'm going to paint the manifold and the power steering pump.. think more people should paint it up. nice simple cheap mod.
I would do the valve covers but i don't need to imo and.......... I'm lazy

, you said the same heads, which would mean the same valves also
