My search for 03 CL 6MT

Ok guys, i thought i was really close and I probably still am, but I need some help.

Anyone opposed to a resprayed (black) NBP? MAACO's top paint job. 7 year warranty.

2. Mechanically, car is great. All 7 year service is done and Acura checked it out with the presales exam they offer

3. What irks me is the condition of the front seats and interior. They are worn. these are becoming so hard to find..and tired from looking..lol

condition of seats and interior is usally reflected by mileage.
You could get your seats done with your choice of color/material cheaper than new factory seat covers.
wore seats is minor if you plan on building the car up.
If just a DD and no plans to modded it out,I would make sure everything is nice from the start.

hey thanks. No, I don't plan on building the car up at all.
I like stock . So i test drove an 88k one that had a much nicer interior than this 67k one I posted about.
Good to know i can repair the seats though. That helps.
I just plan to keep it for a long time for my daily work commute..

There's a pretty clean one for sale at Acura of Lynwood (Seattle area). No wear and body is pretty clean. They're asking a little over 10 for it with 88K miles.

I'm always looking in the area after my purchase a few months ago since I paid 11,700 out the door including tax/license with 68K miles.

those front seats look awful. Must have never used leather treatment ever. Poor poor leather. Id suggest looking for another cl, if he didnt keep the leather up he probably didnt keep anything up.

Hmm... if those seats are as terrible as you all say, then I guess the previous owner of my car didn't use any treatment either...

that paint looks like shit. horrible prep. its shiny but has no depth whatsoever. almost looks like a one stage with clear. no pearlescence in it at all.

a good paint job would reflect him like a mirror. see the haze around eveyrthing? thats orange peel. its very fine but its present.

here is good paint

see the reflection of everything? thats good paint. of course thats after i detailed it. but shouldnt a car that was just painted with a top of the line job look better than one that looked like this to begin with?

move on man. that paint will never look deep or wet. it will just be shiny orange peel

also, the front fender looks misaligned from the rest of the car. notice how the light refracts as it moves from the door to the fender. big red flag

Fellas, it looks like my search for a CL 6MT is over for now. I have come across a TL 05 6MT that is too good to refuse and they are willing to give me some nice trade for my 94 e320 coupe that carmax valued at 1k LOL against the TL 6MT.
It is NBP, black interior, 6MT, One owner, 51K, nice set of rims..white...very unusual and a spare set of rims. It is being sold by a BMW dealership. Oh..Navi too.

Now, I test drove it and admittedly it doesn't have the sweet feel of the CL 6MT. No it doesn't, but, it is a great combo of sports and family car. So that works great.

I will give my quest for CL 6MT a rest for a year..but I will pick one up..I gotta have one of those too. gotta. will. I am basically, hopefully if as deal agreed on is stuck to gonna be paying just a tad more than I was willing to pay for a good CL-S. I am ok with that. I will post some pics tomorrow..after the deal.

I guess youre going to venture over to the TL side now, be sure to visit from time to time

Hey guys:

http://clsmad.smugmug.com/Cars/cls-0...63281826_wTEjz.

Pics of the TL before the cleanup. It is gorgeous..infact..too nice for me LOL.. been driving a benz e320 coupe with 207 miles and it looked its age.
It is officially mine now. bought it from BMW of Fairfax with trade of my car and cash payment..let's just say, I got an awesome deal..way below blue book. Car is perfect..drives like new.
I gotta get used to a lot..LOL..so many fricking gadgets. got to get used to the wheels and how low profile tires feel like..the gearing is awesome... great car..just gorgeous to look at. Those wheels are very nice but too poseurish for me. I like subliminal messaging...not brashness.

for pure driving, the CL is better..although I have very limited experience with the CL-S 6MT, it is more old school..more racing inclined, more like the sport cars I grew up on in the UK...yeah..like the Peugeot 205 GTI, ford fiesta sports., small cars but just wonderful to drive..pure drivers cars..the TL is more modern..in that sense, I completely prefer the CL...but I am happy with the TL. I will no doubt have a second car for me..it will be a CL-S 6MT with no need for navi LOL...this navi is too good..GPS based. I will have to leave the search for a year...recoup some of the spent money and I will have a CL-S, probably high mileaqe since it will be a commuter.

Thanks guys.. really appreciate all the help.

First off, good move the CL would be a horrible car in the long run, well that certain one would be. Second Phee dude love the 540 looks sexxxy. Third, I cannot see the pic of the TL but I'm sure it looks great lol.
