nhn23, those seem abnormally loud, but I don't think it would set a car alarm off unless you tried, and the alarm was very sensitive!!

It's probably more that your neighbor is a d-bag about stuff and calls the cops every other day... The exhaust on my Mr2 is probably the loudest I've heard on a 4cyl street car(3" downpipe, 3" exhaust, opens to 4" right before muffler, exit's the muffler at 5" then opens to 6" tip, cat and resonator removed) and I've never had anyone call the cops, and I have never even been pulled over for it...

yes, it ranges from 1500-3000rpm and once you go higher than that the drone dies out, i know it's not the case but i can say it "quiets for the VTEC" haha.

this happens when the motor is cold or warm. could maybe the exhaust shop when they welded the straight pipe in place of the midmuffler not sealed it all the way and making some sort of exhaust leak? or would that be a constant drone at whatever rpm? what if i got like a dynomax resonator could that possibly eliminate the drone? thanks.

I swear I thought ebony meant a mix of black and another color? Hmm anyways don't have it like black on tan? It looks pretty damn nice imo.

OP, love the mufflers man, makes me want to take a look at buying a pair for myself hehe.

Any updates/comments now that you guys have had it on for a while? I'm thinking about buying this. Everything I've read has been positive, I may join the club soon...

yeah, so far i've had them on for over a month. i like them, just don't care for the drone between 1500-3000rpm, i'm assuming that's because i removed the midmuffler, so i'd say if you do it, keep the midmuffler you might not get the drone.

I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago, and I still have my mid muffler installed. Mine has a very small drone between 2-3K rpm, then above that I cant really hear the exhaust because the intake overpowers it. I know mine is different than others because I still have the mid muffler but I dont mind the drone, and I always have music on so I cant even really tell unless I listen for it. It is definately there, but not very noticable or annoying. Unlike my friends who had a mustang with flomaster exhaust, I sounded great on the outside, but the drone on the inside was absolutely terrible

I had them deleted already and I doubt I'd mind the drone too much anyways.

I got some holiday cash, I'm definitely going to pick these up soon.

A couple of questions. Could I just take off my stock exhaust and put this one on myself? And what is a droning noise?

Yes you can take off your stock mufflers and just bolt this one on. Drone is a sound that comes usually around 1500-3000 rpm. It is loud and can be uncomfortable for those with sensitive hearing. I dont really know how else to explain it.
