Do you have Battle Scars?

I've had my car lowered for about 3 months now. I was backing out of my parents house and I'm usually pretty careful and I hear this loud plastic to road scraping sound!!!! This was the first time I've actually looked under my lip and noticed I actually had alot more scraps and gashes guess I've never really heard the other times I've scraped. I'm lucky I can't see them or I would be sad, man I feel bad for my front lip.

Any of you had a bad scrap accident?

try going over differances in height at an angle, so one front wheel crosses before the other
Not only the lip, but I scrape the lower cross bar--better it than the cat~

Same here. I have some pretty bad ones on the front bar and one part is dented it pretty bad. It's going to be hell when I go to replace a part down there and need to bend it back to the way it was.

J pipe, flex pipe, front sub frame, cusco under brace bar, that plastic things that hand down a bit in front of the front tires, front/bottom of my bumper, exhaust tips, and my lifting points for my car are bent and flat with the body. A price to pay to look good

That sucks, I was curious and I googled the process of fixing polyutherene. It looks like alot of work. I guess I better be more careful.

i've repainted my front lip twice in 6 months... once was due to acura hitting a ramp... the other was from scrapes and scratches... luckily just surface scratches though... so the integrity of the lip is still flawless....

im a paint and body freak... so i fix any imperfections whenever i can..

clean paint and body > mods

sand down your imperfections wiht a DA and some 80 grit...
get some 3m 5887 ez sand plastic repair..(work time is about 5 mins)..sand down with 120 then move up to 180.

paint prep- hit with some 320...prime it...hit it again with 320..paint it..

The entire underside of my car all around is scratched to sh*t. And my stock exhaust tips are basically now semi-circles with no lower half ...

I was thinking about lowering my ride because I hear if you put a lip kit or rims on the car it looks if it is not lowered. After this thread idk anymore. Is it worth it you guys?

Althought it hurts to see the lip (since I paid 1k brand new 3 years ago) to be scraped the important thing it's mostily underneath so you cant see it. And look wise lowering has made it look sooo much better. I mean when I see other TLs it looks like a 4x4 to me now.

You also become a better (slower) driver because you're avoiding all the dips and bumps.

I have a scrape on my driver side mirror from impacting the passenger door of an SUV; his lane was ending and he didn't want to yield.
At least I left a fist sized dent in his door.

Now THAT is a battle scar - everyone has underbody scrapes...
