I have had these brakes for 4 months and like every one else I agree you cant beat the poduct for the price. I have been experienceing the cha cha cha chatter noise that gets faster consistently with speed.

Can anyone clarify that this is in fact due to the wear in the chamfer in the pad. meaning the pad is now flat? Thanks

not yet, actually I can't even tell the difference between them and my stock setup except for the fact that they have alot more bite. no noises though

Ill be ordering these for my 07 TL type S. Sent Sean a PM yesterday and hope to get these ordered today. Thanks for all the information guys. I've been going back and forth between these and the stock brembos since last week. I'm sick of the brake dust form the brembo pads and I also like the price of these. I'm going to give them a try.

Just called and ordered Rotors and Ceramic Pads F&R for my 06 TL. I've been a member of AZ for about a year now (since I bought and fell in love with my TL) and with the great posts from members I have not had to ask any questions yet. Thank you AZ members for all the help and comments.

I'm not sure why they told you we couldn't do signature confirmation, unless Fedex changed something on our account, but I apologize nonetheless. Thanks again for the order!

So what's the official word on these in terms of the whirling, cha cha cha sound?

Thinking of pulling the trigger on these but I'm a bit concerned with the noise issues (I skimmed this whole thread )

Sean, could you also give me a price quote for the pads and rotors all around an 08 TL-S shipped to Canada. Should I expect to pay duties?

Thanks!

The whirring is from the non beveled edge on the oem and other pads...use the evolution pads and you'll be fined.

look freakin fantastic

ordered my set of 4 pads & rotors (05 tl) on 3/27, received in san diego 4/2, they looked great just in the box. i had them installed 4/4 and they look amazing installed. bedded them in & tested them out in various situations over the weekend & can say that they are wonderful. i replaced the stock rotors on my TL but have had drilled/slotted rotors on other vehicles in the past, i have not noticed any significant noises.

i'll put up a picture after i get my car cleaned! speaking of which, i should note that clean wheels & awesome rotors really make old calipers look bad....

Had the rotors installed around July and they were warped by Dec/Jan. The brake pedal shudders when I brake so I requested to have them replaced under warranty. Found out that I have to pay shipping (which is around $70 for all 4 rotors). Not happy.. didn't go through with the warranty replacement.

New Brakemotive

Just installed front and rear discs on my 2002 TLS.
My rears were fine (or so I've been told!) but for the price I decided to do all 4 rotors at the same time. From my front rotor "turning" last year, I already had almost new brake pads - so I didn't install the new pads - I'll keep them for my next install.
It's nice to not have the wheel shudder anymore, and the brakes are quiet and after 1 day of seating - they bite just fine for stop-n-go city driving (with stretches of country roads in between.)
So far so good.

Yes, they can be machined, but it doesn't take care of the problem indefinitely!

Thanks for the response. Mine warped and I heard drilled & slotted rotors can't be re-machined. On the up side, they're still great brakes with low dust build up at a screamin' good price. Someone mentioned a slight sound at higher speeds? I kind of have that when I do harder stops above 60 or so, but I just assumed that's totally normal. Never caused me any trouble or got worse.
