For MT owners, when is the recommended interval for a clutch fluid change? I cannot find it in the manual and it does not seem to be a Maintenance Minder item.

The dealers says to change the clutch fluid every three years regardless of mileage. This seems to make sense as it's DOT 3 brake fluid, so would have the same changeout interval as your regular brake fluid.

Also, for the MT fluid, do you wait for the Maintenance Minder interval or change it earlier? I changed mine at 40k because I never really knew when the #3 sub item would come on. At what mileage did it come on for you?

There's a poorly written footnote in the manual for the transmission fluid that says if you "drive regularly in mountainous areas or tow a trailer, replace the fluid at 60,000 miles, then every 30,000 miles (automatic transmission models only)."

Does that mean manual transmissions have a longer cycle to change the transmission fluid?

I plan to&nbsp;change it every 3 years now, +/- some time.</p><p>On my other cars,&nbsp;whenever I&nbsp;flush my brakes, I'll use the rest for the clutch flush.</p><p>I try not to extend the cycle. If you think about it, we use our clutch pedal just as much, if not&nbsp; more than our brake pedal.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

3yrs sounds about right for clutch fluid.

30-35k miles or so for Honda MTF in a street/daily driven car is about what it said in older manuals that had an actual interval.

I do my trans every 30k. Keeps it shifting smooth.
