Never ended up burning my car to the ground, but I finally got frustrated enough with my stupid fcking BT system that I found instructions online to fix it, suggesting it ain't just me:

Talking to a Honda tech I know on another forum suggested it's VERY common, mostly in Hondas (Honda and Acura share the same part # for BT mics).

Ordered a new mic for $100, it better fcking fix it, or I'm getting the matches ready.

Literally, if I fail to buy a new TLX SH-AWD at some point it will be because this issue pissed me off that badly.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope the mic fixes it. I use Iphone6 on my wagon since day one, no issues at all. I have to use it quite significantly for calls.

My only issue has been, there has been a few times it didn't "pick up" the bluetooth. But that has been a handful of times.

I've had the didn't-pick-up problem a few times as well; it generally seems to be when my phone is overly busy with something else, like navigation.

Status report, so far (touch wood) it seems to have worked.

Now the BT on my wife's RDX is acting up. ARGH. Screw you, Acura.

My wife's wagon has the same issues. Of course it seems to be sporadic and since I don't drive the car I haven't taken much notice, but I should.

Update: haven't had any problems since replacing the mic. Great success.
