I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that I would have hit 3 rocks on exactly the lip of the hood.......I can see no evidence of impact, but I see cracked paint beginning to chip off in a couple of spots........
Also, there is NO DAMAGE anywhere else like the windshield, etc that would lead me to believe it was rocks.

Here are pix of what I'm talking about......
Again.....there is no other damage anywhere, and the chips wrap around to the underside of the hood where a rock would not have hit.

Pics look like impact marks. Or, the hood was repainted at one time and the paint is starting to fail.
My guess, but I would have to look over the entire car.
Took one good impact to start my Subaru's hood to begin rusting.

Dealer tolf me to take a hike...LOL.
Good news - touch up paint is only $8.
I suppose (hope not, actually) that eventually there will be enough of these to warrant a repaint of the hood.
I gotta say though, while I like how the cars drive, I am not impressed with Acura. Between the multiple issues with my wife's MDX, and now this crap I can't really justify spending 20% more on a car......
