Spoon caliper for TSX vs CSX

Spoon caliper for TSX vs CSX
Do you guys know if those are direct bolt on's of each other? It seems like they are but I wonder what other cars are they direct bolt on kits for? Thanks!

The Spoon Monoblock calipers for the FD2 should also be compatible with the CL7/CL9 chassis.

I'm pretty sure that means they will fit for the CU2 as well, as the front brakes should be the same between the 1G TSX and the 2G. You might want to do more research to confirm, but at the time I was actually pretty close to purchasing a set of Spoon calipers (on impulse lol), then I realized I should probably save what little bit of money I had left in my savings account
source: no source, but FWIW people have confirmed CL9 BBKs fit the CU2. It's somewhere on this forum.
Make sure it's P/N 45020-MBF-G00. There are other variants of the "MBF", but G00 is the official one for the CL7/9 TSX.
The "MBR" model is meant for cars with their calipers closer to the rear of the car (think S2000, RSX). These apparently will still mount correctly (i.e., towards the front), but pad wear will be uneven, because the Spoon calipers have a smaller and a larger piston, and using the MBR over the MBF will switch their relative positions.
FYI, I don't think Twinblock calipers will work at all. They're meant for the OG Hondas (EK9s, DC2s, etc).

I believe spoon calipers work with either stock TSX rotors...or you'll have to downgrade to the thinner S2000 rotor.
Spoon brakes are not considered a SIGNIFICANT performance upgrade, generally speaking. You do get more braking power from more even pad force and you get better brake feel/feedback because you're not working with sloppy floating calipers.
I believe you use S2000 pads with Spoon calipers; which, again, are smaller than TSX pads.

You'd probably want to check with a spoon caliper retailer about what rotors and pads to use.
If they do use S2000 rotors and pads like I'm thinking, then S2000 brakes are the same for 00-09 (all) model years.

FYI, chuonthis actually has a set of Spoon calipers installed, so this confirms it.
And yeah, the Spoon setup won't be a world of difference. I believe the Spoon FD2 doesn't even use Spoon calipers, because the upgrade isn't sufficient.
