So-Cal New Wagon...
Picked up a wagon mid-May, so have had it for about a month now... moving over from a x-over (Rav4), so perhaps a different perspective... TSX-Tech - by the time the numbers were done, $32K
1) Channels a lot of my old CR-X - '87 CRX si - fit and finish is very good. Something to be said about Japanese supply chain
2) K24 is a great engine - rev happy, the wagon with the I4 really needs a stick
3) Ride is firm - this is a plus, IMHO, ride in an Accord, and that is more the American average - this is why we don't drive Accords...
4) Really needs either a stick, or a V6 - K24 is a great engine, but in the freeway wars, torque is king, and the Honda J-series has that in spades... but on road trips, and at freeway speed, the K24 does very very well... 24 around town, 30 on a short road trip up to Orange county...
5) V-Tec Yo! - one of the upsides/downsides of the 5 speed, you get into V-Tec space in a big way -- no much to be said, but I'm sure most get this inside joke...
6) They call it a "wagon" - it's more of a long-roof hatchback, the rear towers get in the way of that 4*8 plywood chunk - but that's why the other car is a Oddy...
All in all - it's a solid car - handles well, some road noise (it's a Honda at it's core), and a good value. Good looks is a plus, IMHO, better than the Audi clone that the Accord is - and Honda doesn't offer a wagon these days...

Burning Brakes
Congratulations and welcome! I picked up my new 2012 Wagon this Monday evening and am having a blast with it. Everything you said was spot in. Love the "VTEC just kicked in, yo!" joke. My buddies and I still get a giggle every now and then when we talk bout the F&F franchise of movies.
Love the Forged Silver color, BTW. It was my first choice but it got sold a day before I went to the dealer. Oh well.

Caught DCH Acura of Temecula on a good weekend, they were doing a special across the board - and yes, $32K OTD for a Tech Wagon...
I'm based out of San Diego - did some digging on the 'net, and DCH Temecula was the only dealer with the desired colour in stock - local dealers had Crystal Black or Bellanova White, but I really thought that the Forged Silver worked best for this body style.
The DCH experience in Temecula was first rate - except for the F&I guy, but he's doing his job - I was paying cash, and didn't want any extended warranty stuff - so for him, it's printing out the contracts and paperwork... he's got to do his pitch, in the end it was all cool...
Getting back to the colour - Funny in the light, Forged Silver flops hard depending on the view angle... gonna be tough to match in the case of body work... but looks right...
1500 miles on, the car is breaking in - very fun to drive at the moment. As it's breaking in, it's getting "right"...
Not planning a lot of mods at the moment - but 18" A-Spec wheels I think would be a good match - going to check around local and eBay there...
Nice going down the road and not finding another identical car... the wagon is somewhat of a rare bird... I've got 25xx of the 2012 release...

Oooh fancy. Any plans on modding it?

Kept the RAV actually - giving it to my kid as he's a student @ USCD - traded in "his" car - DCH actually gave me a decent trade, considering that it was a bit riced - an '07 Yaris Hatch w/TRD CAI and Fart Pipe, along with aftermarket 17's and Eibach Pro-kit springs.

I think it was the right choice... for me - the other combo's look good as well - esp. the Vortex Blue and Basque Red, but they basically didn't exist out here...

Really?, a new TSX-Tech Wagon for $32K out-the-door in SoCal!? that IS an amazing deal. DMV is $300, tax in CA is about $2500. this means your before tax price was about $29K for a TSX Wagon with the tech package!! WOW! i think you got the best deal in the country.

Coming up on the 2 year mark... just turning 27.500 and the A12 service alert just popped up - lower mileage perhaps as I work from home about 30 percent of the time.
Car is still _awesome_ - no major issues, except for a couple of squeaks and rattles (seat belt on driver's side, and the middle dash speaker rattles).
I've been averaging around 24MPG as I've been mostly on the commute to/from work, with a high of 32 between SLC and Boise, ID on a road trip.
Still the best car I've owned, flat out...
