seat belt extensions
I didn't test this out before buying the car because there's always a solution, but it's near impossible to latch the rear seat belts when kids are in booster seats. I finally started searching and have now ordered a pair of seat belt clip extenders. In case anybody else is tired of kids taking forever trying to buckle themselves in or you doing it for them, this should be a big help. For the record, our car uses the Type-B buckle (31/32" or 24.5mm wide tongue).

Was the 8" too long? I was thinking it might be so long that it would rub into their hip once connected. The rigid definitely looked more useable than the fabric ones.

May have to get one of these. Buckling a toddler makes going through TSA actually seem fun. Especially when the car seat slides down from the "buckets".
Well thats your first problem, the TSX is not suitable for carrying extra baggage. You need a Cadillac or Town Car for such a task. Bonus points for blacked out windows and man-with-suit driving it.

The place above had great service. They wrote me back by 7:15 this morning that they intercepted the order and changed it to one of each and didn't still gave the $1/ea discount for buying 2 or more.

I have a rigid one from the same site and it arrived 4 days after ordering, but from a domestic US address, not China, not like that matters. It works well with my son's booster seat, no more of him fiddling with the buckle under the seat.

Update: I finally bought another 3" extension to replace the 8". We were finding that the 8" is just too long and while it's super easy for my boy to click it in his booster, the seatbelt wasn't tight against his waist causing a safety problem. See? There IS such thing as too big.

Thanks very much for posting. I went from an 08 1st gen to a 2011, and my son had a really hard time buckling in by himself in his booster. The latch submarines into the seat cushion. Very frustrating for everyone. Memo to Acura -- bad design!
Because he had so many problems, we changed to a Britax booster with a five-point harness. The seat is secured via LATCH. Safer than the three-point seatbelt, and he thinks he's getting into a race car seat. He will soon consider it lame, but for now it's working well.

One thing I'll add about these is that they don't fit/click with OEM precision. It's not a big deal because you only need to click it in the one time and leave it, but I wish the milling was a bit better. This is an absolute mandatory "upgrade" for anybody with kids.

Is there any safety concern when using these extensions?

I have had no issues with them coming unlatched using them daily since the end of year. I'm not concerned with it having negative unintended safety issues other than how the 8" is causing the seatbelt to be too loose for the child. When my other 3" extension comes, I'll confirm how fitment is on that one to compare to the others.

Agreed. I either have to click it in more firmly than usual, or I press and hold the release button then insert the extension, and release to let it lock in place.

good idea! I've gained over 300lbs over the years.

I picked up a pair of the 3" B type and it was a bit of a struggle getting it in. I'm not sure if my seatbelt latches were not broken in or whatever.
However I got it to fit in a few other cars: the wife's Pilot, and 2 friends' Accords with a firm push. I was going to just use them in the Pilot and let the latches of the TSX "break in" but this morning before heading to work I decided to give it another try.
I was able to get it to fit... but backwards with a firm push. No matter how firm I push it the correct orientation, it will not fit (yet?). ...I guess this will do for now. A backwards extender is better than those short latches that sink in. LOL

Haha... we're talking about seatbelt extensions sir. It was hard not to use certain words and terminology. Ie; 'Latches' 'insert' 'push'
But looking at the post now, I guess I really should have ended that with a No H0m0. :P

Does anyone know the part number for the 3" extension (from the ebay seller mentioned above) that will fit the rear window seats of a 2011?
They sent me a 3" extension, but the shoulder belt latch doesn't fit into the extenstion -- too wide. They said the only option for the 2011 is a 7" extender.
Thanks.
