RonJon TSX Splitter Kit concept! ** updated design, pg. 1 **

Took a small breather for 2010, but we are coming in hard with a new company philosophy. Affordable parts for all new and old Acura vehicles. There will be high quality, but small adjustments to the way we do things.
Here are the new products that will be available across the board starting with the new 2011 TSX:
  1. 6-piece underbody diffuser/splitter style add on kits (ABS material, comes prepped and primed with optional CF and Dynoc finishes available).
  2. Rear window roof spoilers.
  3. Rear decklid flush style lip spoilers.
  4. Adjusted pricing on our current wheels.
  5. New finishes on our current best sellers.
  6. Forged Monoblock and 3 piece wheels at afordble pricing (compared with the competition).
Possibly a core exchange system of tinted tailights and cleared headlights. We plan on stocking these parts and working with the vendors on AZ so that there is no wait. Pricing will be pretty high, considering we will have OEM parts customized, but for those who need it right now, there is no higher quality, quicker way to swap out headlights and tailights.

Here's a glimpse of our vision with one of our inhouse designers taking it even further.
JMV Designs is considered one of the BEST automotive designers in the industry. I'm taking a step back and letting my designer do the work this time. He has never failed to surprise me with his natural tallent and ability. Take a look at his work and see for yourself.
http://jmvdesign.ca/
In the meantime, here is a render I put together because I couldn't wait, lol.
More coming soon!!

Awesomee! As for the clear headlights, are you guys going to replace the amber with a clear reflector or are you guys just going to clear it out and replace the bulb?

What I want to know is if these parts will fit the 2010 tsx.

I don't think many of us are currently looking at getting the 2011.

We might be working with some vendors like JNC to have OEM pre-purchased headlights and then remove the amber lense from inside, the bulb too will be replaced with a clear one that glows amber.

Yes, see below, until we get both the 2009 and 2011 TSX in the booth, we will not know if the same splitter will work, but I assume so, since the overall dimensions will be VERRRY similar and this splitter gets fixed to the underside of the bumper.

This is true sometimes, but not always. Sometimes the reality comes out better than the concept, sometimes it looks less attractive. Either way, we will be making it and the cost will be significantly lower than our other bodykits. It's a subtle mod for those who don't want to stay stock. Meant to be an addition to highlight the car's lines without being to drastic.

Man, it looks so much better with the lines of the 2010 tsx than the 2011 IMHO. I really hate the bug eyed fogs.

Looks nice Ron! Very nice subtle mods, not too flashy, very tastefully done.

Any plans for the 4G TL?

Yes, plans for the 4G TL. Similar design, but I'm just waiting on my designer to finish his concept. Most likely it will be better than mine and the design will be the same from vehicle to vehicle, just the dimensions will vary.

finally someone else stepping up to the plate with a lip kit for our car. I'm definitely interested in seeing the final product. I'm all for keeping the look subtle with an understated kit.

Ok, so we will be needing a 2nd Gen TSX in the South Gate CA area, 90280.
We have the bumpers on order and the sides, but we will need the car to check fitment among other details. This is our 4th project using over 8 customer's cars, we have an excellent track record with no incidents, just a complimentary kit and discount on wheels.

email me for more info with the following:
  1. Car year
  2. color
  3. mods
  4. distance from South Gate CA

We will probably need the car for 1 week while we test fit the prototype, then one more visit to install the production parts.

Here's an update.

The kit will be simple, it will not ride up onto the bumper, but rather it will be engineered as an underbody splitter that will bolt on underneath the bumper. This will allow us to make it for both the 2009-11 and then for the 2012+ which share the same under-bumper profile but have different bumper designs.

Material: The splitters will be made from Black or Grey ABS plastic, and can be prepped and primed. They can be fully painted to match the vehicle, but there will also be room and character lines to follow if you want a two tone color theme of body color and grey area for a more upscale look.

Cost: is not yet determined, but the front splitter, pair of sides and rear pair (2 piece) will all be under $480 as part of the pre-ordering offer. MSRP will be around $580 for the entire kit. I believe it will be able to be shipped ground UPS, so cost will be relatively fair.

Timeline: This all depends on feedback. We need a car in our studio in South Gate, CA. We need people to chime in and we need to know that this will be desirable. There are a few options for the TSX out there now, but most of them are just front lips, or too expensive, or hard to get due to importing. So hopefully there will be a demand for this type of product.

Thanks, we might even supply some precut mesh to fill in the area in the middle between the splitter and the OEM bumper. For $480, there is no better bang for your buck.

Mods if you could update the thread with "**updated design, pg. 1". thanks.

The front will probably end up being between $200-$250. I am having a meeting with my production team to see which design would be feasible as an "under" body splitter.

I think in the end, Design B is the best choice, it has the realistic design needed to work within our intentions of cost and manufacturing. "C" is more like an add on lip, and would bring the cost too high if we need to do all the precise fittings and all. "A" seems a little too simple.

I'm voting A. I really like how the middle sweeps upwards in the middle--it really flows well with the lines of the car. B does the same thing but to a lesser extent. Personally, I think I'd only be interested in purchasing A.

Sides of B and C look better than A. I'm also in for seeing a render of what the rear would look like. Maybe having a center cut-out like the Type S kit would complement the front?

I'm cross-shopping the Type-S kit Ron so you'd definitely have an interested customer in me if the final product looks good. Keeping it under $500 puts it in line with what most aftermarket kits run for.
