Just retired and moving myself from Texas to California. From west of Houston thru Midland, to Roswell to Albuquerque. Across New Mexico and into Arizona trying to find Route 66. Will head up the Grand Canyon, over to Vegas and finally Sonora CA. Car runs just fine of course. Some where in the wide open spaces of the Southwest.

Well if you were on I-40 from Albuquerque through Gallup and into Flagstaff... You found Route 66!

I miss aimlessly roaming the Southwest. I am jealous of you.

I once came out of a cave in Carlsbad NM, and a tarantula hawk (google it) almost landed on my shoe. I held my tough guy appearance because there were other people around. But all I wanted to do was scream and run away.
