Reverse Tilt Door Mirror

On the passenger side exterior mirror, does everyone's mirror go down when reverse gear is selected? I know it's supposed to but mine does not, even when the power mirror selector is in the correct position.

Not sure why it wouldn't as long as the switch is pushed over to the right. Sounds like a trip to the dealership is in your future. Maybe someone else could shine some other light on the subject?

You have to set the mirror control to the right side. Then, when you shift into reverse, the right side mirror will tilt to show your back tire.

I will go to the dealer, I just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything. I did try the selector to the right as well as center and left.

thanks

There might be a way to defeat the feature in the settings menu that you inadvertently enabled. Check the section about that feature in your owner's manual first before going in for service.

I was thinking the same thing but that was not the case, nothing in manual except keep selector to the right.

I absolutely love this feature of my car. I park in reverse every morning at the office and the tilt mirror is extremely useful in getting as close the the curb as possible. This way I'm far enough away from the car parking next to me. ;-)

Wow. Thanks for this. It worked on my test drive but it hasn't worked since. I didn't know it had to be on the right mirror. Definitely good to know
